The amazing thing about this is that the series is based on a true story. I live in the town where this happened and remember the day of the murder.

I just finished watching and was so happy that it was just 4 good episodes. It was very good and had me rooting for John. Thanks for the review. I would not have watched otherwise.

Towards the end of the first episode, I jumped to the last two episodes and glad I did. In episode three the DNA search and study takes off and the last episode is the best. I gave it a thumbs-up for the last episode. I will leave it at that.😊

Was fed up with the cancellation of so many shows. I am so wary going into a new show now. And a lot of canceled shows are still streaming with people not knowing. Should show a warning ⚠️ show canceled season such n such. Will love this knowing there's at least and final.

What an excellent mini series for a crime thriller. Watched it today, and as said, 4 episodes justified to the storyline.

Great review! I agree with it. I really liked the series. It's not perfect, but it did keep me thoroughly engaged. Great acting. I completely recommend it. Glad this show got 4.5 couches!

I was confused, it takes place in 2004? I got very confused when he whips out an old cell phone. It looks like 2020, even early 2000s europe which had modern asthetics in decor. They reference the golden state killer being caught, which wouldnt have happened for like almost another 15 yrs. That really threw me off.

U missed the time jump?

@BottleStacker02 I think I must have, it did not jump time very well if that's the case.

@@madamebutterfly851 Its pretty subtle, its just 3 lines but they refrence it alot afterwards, being from Sweden and familiar with the case before hand maybe helped me. Anyways Its a 16 year investigation and it jumps from new years eve 2005 to 2020.

The missing DNA genealogical links were discovered with the swab from the journalist.

The show was terrible. It was dark and looked like it was filmed in 1970 as if they don't have HD cameras in Sweden. The acting was terrible and the writing and Exposition was completely unnecessary in most scenes. The soccer coach took 16 years to come forward? The eyewitness never mentions she thinks she saw the kid in the grocery store? The genealogist only has a daughter who is a pain in the ass so that he can tell the cop he has to go home to her so the cop can tell him to be a better father than he was. That's literally the only reason. The detective tells the DNA guy that he's not allowed to work from home and the guy says he has to go home so then he says okay you can work from home. The evidence was all obtained illegally whether the note came in or not it won't stand up in court but don't let that get in your way. Then the reporter from 16 years ago happens to be in town after 16 years on the same week that the case is wrapping up because of an imposed deadline and she just happens to be the cousin of the Killer. The whole thing was terribly contrived whether or not this is based on a true story or not is irrelevant and why did the killer need to have a twin brother? When the DNA guy was off by himself and didn't tell the detective where he was I thought for sure the twin brother would kill him and that the loner wasn't the bad guy the brother was there for no reason. So many plot holes so many unnecessary scenes

Are you complaining about them showing stuff that actually happened? I'm sorry that the reality of this case isn't believable enough, I guess.
@barcalona5516 күн бұрын
I thought it was okay. Honestly a very basic mystery story.
@awarose15 күн бұрын
Well it is about a true story and they actually stayed really true to what happened. They didn't try to embellish things.
