I met my first boyfriend in 8th grade during a fire drill. Some of the teachers in out school are extremely strict about how fire drills and stuff go down, so if they feel like the class was too annoying or loud, they'll make you go all the way back to the classroom, yell at you, then make you do it again. So, my first boyfriend was behind me, chatting away with one of my other close guy friends, and it was freezing cold out and I was extremely irritable, so I turned around, punched him in the arm (light enough it didn't break anything, hard enough to show I meant business) before turning back around and trying to keep warm. I could hear just a deafening silence before I heard an almost disbelieving "She /hit/ me...!", to which I replied, "Just shut up already!" in a really low and angry whisper. From then on, he made it a point to tease me about hitting him, acting like it was the most painful experience of his life. We eventually got closer until we became tentative friends, myself scared but slowly developing a crush on him. I think another thing about myself that stuck out to him was, before the events that happened the fire drill, he got into a fight in the class with another kid (I'll admit the other kid deserved a flogging, but sadly it didn't happen) and was suspended for a while. When he came back, I saw him in his hoodie and, without thinking I called out, "Hey *****!". He looked over at me curiously and I just gave a nod of greeting and said, "Welcome back" before walking off. After we became friends, we were practically inseparable and just got along so well. I enjoyed every minute with him, I'll admit that much, and soon we just started dating. Since we were both in school at the time, we only saw each other during class, passing periods, and lunch and texted each other late into the night. I still have some of the old texts saved onto my old phone. I read them sometimes when I need a little cheering up and just want to remember happy things instead of bad things. I remember it was hard on all my friends, having been pushed aside for this guy I had known for only a few months. But they grew to accept him, although kept their suspicions on him. I think I was the hardest girlfriend he has ever had, because I was so scared of doing anything wrong or bad and I was scared of losing him, so I never made any moves. I think the only times I was the first one to do something was when I first told him how I felt (which got us to start sorta dating) and when I told him I loved him (I was the emotional/romantic one of the pair, I'll admit). During the rest of the school year, I was constantly questioned by more popular people than myself over my relationship with him. I just admitted that we both liked each other and we weren't sure what we were. I think it surprised people that an antisocial, prudish, possibly Mormon (they think that's an insult, but it's really not) girl could attract a member of their ranks, but also the resident bad boy. I remember one guy, who I was told a few years prior to all this had a crush on me, called me over and asked if I had seen a certain movie. I told him no, and I wasn't planning to anytime soon, before bolting off to return to my game with my friend. Not sure what he wanted. Over the rest of the course of the year, my relationship with my ex was repeatedly questioned and was always confirmed. I doubt people believed it was actually true. I also remember a teacher warning me about dating this boy, saying there will be talk and my reputation could be called into question. Personally, reputation was the last thing on my list. I had a purity ring, which I was absolutely dedicated to, so I wasn't sleeping with him, I wasn't gallivanting off with him and skipping my classes, I wasn't making out with him every chance I got (when, at least not until summer), so what would they talk about? "Oh hey did you hear that ****** was holding hands with *****?!" "Yeah man! So shady!" *are you serious face* Summer was fun, at least until my first kiss with him. After that, whenever he hugged me, touched me, or did anything with me, his hands traveled. He knew of my dedicated to my purity ring and still tried to push me to it's absolute limits. My best friend, Vinceokeo096, was so concerned for my safety (and it takes a lot to scare her), that she gave me one of my knives to defend myself. Another fun little thing was, he and my other friend (who I used to also call best friend but not anymore) went to my local park and got high. And thought it was funny to come visit me. I'm strictly against drugs except for medicinal purposes, because you can get addicted to drugs mentally or physically, so when they came over it sent me into a giant rage. When my ex sobered up, he came over and tried to apologize by making out with me. I proceeded to push him away and reenter my home and lock the door. Fun Fact: The same friend that got high with him had also confessed to me that she had a crush on my ex. I should have just dumped him right then and there. Those two would have been fucking perfect for each other. But the funny thing is, none of those were reasons why we broke up. Right before the school year started for my freshman year, everything seemed to be smoothing out. I thought it was all going to be okay. Then my friend who got high with him, we'll call her Icky for now, decided it'd be fun to put Vinceokeo096, herself, my ex, and me in a chat together. Vince and my ex were already a volatile combination by theirselves, so throw Icky into the mix, with her screaming at them for not getting along for ten minutes, it threw me over the edge. In all caps I yelled at everyone in the chat, cussed them out I believe, and just ordered them to go their separate ways and I would deal with them in the morning. I got a message from my ex five minutes later, saying for me to never have him around my friends again or shit would go down. Icky then decided to post a status complaining about all of us (it was her fault!) and infuriate my ex even further. I got another message that could basically be summed up by saying, "I love you, but your friends are jackasses and I'm gonna force you to choose, but I already chose for you so I'm dumping you bye." The next morning I got another message, saying, "Apparently my dumping you because I got into a fight with your friends was stupid, or so my dad says, so I'll give you two weeks for you to get back together with me." I shit you not, he actually sent those two messages. It should also be said that within the same week he dumped me, he already had a new girlfriend. I'm not sure if she was there to make me jealous, or he just didn't legitimately care about me unless his hands were trying to unbutton my pants, but I never answered and he never pressed for a reply. Now, here I am, still aggressively bitter, but over the fact that I never got the chance to cuss him out and fuck him up mentally (I'm a mental fighter, not a physical one). I am friends with my new crush (which is going nowhere, but I've already given up hope so I don't know what else to say), I have an army of amazing friends, Vinceokeo096 and I are even better friends, and I'm slowly getting better. I've only recently started thinking about him this often and in such deep thought, but only because he texted me asking if he had the right number (which he did, but I told him he had the wrong number. Also, why the fuck did he still have my number?) a while back and I guess I've just been lonely. But hey, I'm only 15. I'm getting there. I'll figure everything out and maybe one day a guy will truly like me. I've also recently saw a new picture of him and he had the tips of his hair dyed blonde and was duck facing. Can I just say, in my opinion, that that just screams douche bag? He has a KZbin channel on here, so I wonder if he's still subscribed to me. Probably not. Anyways, I'm sorry this was such a long little rant thing, but this has been on my chest for a little too long and it'd be nice to hear which of us were in the wrong or what you think.
