As a retired Civil engineer thats done post grads in structural engineering and computer science i concur and support this discussion. My eyes were opened to the deception of evolution when i read a nature paper that found our genome contains prescriptive information and decision making algorithms. Prescriptive information can only come from a SENDER and decision making algorithms require FORESIGHT, foresight requires FORWARD PLANNING and forward planning requires a FORWARD PLANNER.

High school Biology, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant and other medical continuing education brought me into my "dream" career. Something was missing. ICR, through their videos, magazine's and website, is where I found those missing pieces. The Theory of Evolution never made sense to me. ICR's research, thorough and factual evidence, not only made perfect sense, scientifically, it points directly to the factual truth, not to evolution's theory, but to our Creator God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I heard the comment - Creationists don't have a good enough imagination to believe evolution - which makes me laugh. I have an awesome imagination. Some people would probably call me crazy because of my imagination. I used it in my job. I was a software engineer for many different government agencies. I had to come up with components (procedures, functions, variables, logic) that would handle many diverse situations. I worked with other processes that amazed me in how they functioned and how I created something to use the data from those processes. I never once thought that things happened by chance. Not even when issues were found with either the data or the components I created did I think that happened by accident. I know why I have the ability to design software - God gave it to me. There is no way I could believe that this all happened by chance even before I knew Jesus Christ as my Savior. Thank you for helping me to learn how to counter evolution's arguments. A wonderfully rich discussion. A few comments, if I may. 1. Systems are how reality is structured from creation to occupation. The creation account shows a systematic creation of interlocking parts and we, being like God (Genesis 1:26, 27) make use of and build systems as we command the created domain. Systems are thus basic to the material reality. Systems are chacterised by regulated feedback-governed arrangemts of components coordinated with fine-tuned interfaces of a non-deterministic nature. That is, the interfacing components don't necessarily need each other to build the particular system. For example, the tear drainage system has no 'interest' in vision, but vision to work effectively needs the tear drainage system. Importantly to note, partial systems are non-systems. Something Darwin failed to comprehend in his naive gross morphology fantasy speculations. 2. Information: factual knowledge transmitted propositionally (including mathematically), a fact being something that produces explicable justified true belief and comes into the formation of knowledge, being a statement of what is real and that can produce or reflect functional operations (broadly conceived). Infomation, following on from the nature of the creation (at 1. above) information is characterised propositionally because the creation is made propositionally and with rational causality: God created in days, by his propositional expression (so in communicable and meaningful terms within the created order), using rational causality: he said 'stars' and he got stars! Utterly different from pagan stories. So, propositional knowledge is also basic to the created domain and is predicated on persons being the makers, users and transmitters of knowledge. 3. Design Design is characterized by parsimony. For instance, all system interfaces across which sub-systems are coordinated into 'systems-of-systems' are 'tight' but not too tight as to be inflexible for different external environmental interfaces. Design is also indicated by the instrumental compatibility of the designed thing with those other things that the designed thing works with, influences, and relates to. Thus design indicates a telos: it occurs for a future function. Telos is inherent to designed things, particularly designed things that have complex and productive/beneficial cross-system interfaces and relationships. One might surmise that a randomly constructed set of systems will be haphazard and not parsimonious. Full of inefficiencies and inelegancies and fatally misfitted across system boundaries. Darwin seeks to overcome this with random culling of comparatively failed systems, but fails to show how this might be possible while the failed systems remain as the operating marquette for less failed systems. 4. Code The aspect of the information coded (reduced to propositions) in cells is that it is not materially derived, but materially expressed. The code itself is used to construct meaning configurations of material but is itself immaterial. Further it transmits information between an information resource to an information user. All three communicative elements are necessary for the cells information system to operate. The whole thing shows our creator who delights in the intricacy and beauty of his creation, and has enabled us as creatures-in-his-image to share in it as we govern and enjoy it and grow in understanding of it (Pv 3:19, 20).

When I hear or read stuff like this, I feel such a burden for people who will go to such lengths to avoid the Truth, willing to believe ANYTHING as long as it’s not God. You ask that because you are unable to fathom, in your mind, a being, namely God Almighty, having exited forever. He who is the creator of all things yet not created Himself. That's a typical problem for a created being to wrap their heads around. The designer of all things was never designed by any other being otherwise that designer/creator can not be the true living God Almighty. What was created testifies of His existence and of His great power and glory. It's a faith based on the things that are...that were created, to include your own self.

Mutation is claimed to be the driver of evolution, but for something to mutate, it must first exist. How it came into being is the naturalist's first and most difficult question. They still have not presented a rational explanation for abiogenesis, and never will because it is impossible and absurd to consider how it happened naturally (Rom 1:22). With the story of mutation, they enter at the end of the creation game and declare "We've won"! That's just irrational and scientifically dishonest from the start! Nature is not intelligent, It just exists. because someone intelligent made it that way.
