The Breede River's best kept secret, hidden self catering accommodation. WITH AN OPTION OF CAMPING!

On this episode we head out to the town of Swellendam and find the most secluded self catering accommodation that Google hasn't even discovered, hidden on the Breede river between the towns of Swellandam and Malgas. The owners rely totally on word of mouth to attract business.We also take a drive down to Malgas and cross the mighty Brede on the infamous Pont or Pontoon Ferry
We absolutely love it here, right on the Breede River, it's very basic, maybe even primitive, We rate it a half a star at most but the location is just perfect, fishing off the deck or braaing in the LAPA area is an absolute winner. Lighting the indoor fire place on those winter nights while sipping on a glass of wine. Or if you wish to camp you can just arrange it with Jacky. We've been going to this prime location for 6 years and we decided it's time to share this one with our KZbin family.

Directions: From Cape Town you head towards Swellendam on the N2, before entering the Swellendam town, you will turn right onto a gravel road towards the town of Malgas and Infanta, travel approximately 1.8kms ‘till you see the Napkysmond green sign board, here you turn left then travel about 12,7kms and you’ll will see an old wagon on the left, here turn left and travel about another km to a gate on the right hand side, go through the gate and follow this road until you arrive at the cottage. You will know if you have reached your destination as first thing you will see is beautifully maintained green lawns and a carport. And please... leave the gates as you find them.
