Few movies make an impression on you when you become an adult. But this movie OMG. Still with me to this day.

As a Clint Eastwood fan, I of course have the DVD of Bridges of Madison County. Not only was the writing superb, Clint and Meryl performed their parts at a level that totally immersed the viewer into the story. Towards the ending of the movie at the intersection remarkably proved Clint and Meryl's amazing talent! No dialog... Just raw emotion, sold to the lens!!! Great Vlog! Loved it!

@Rick Lord Ahhhhh yes!! Top favorite performances of all time. Haven’t watched this movie in a while.. hits me deeper each time I watch it. They did an incredible job tugging at the heart strings of the viewers, we feel every emotion the way they intended. Never gets old, I still want to see them together. 😭

I wasn't eager to watch it either. But eventually, I was curious about the hype surrounding this movie. I was *blown* *away* ... Definitely not prepared for the emotional impact. You know which scene I'm referring to. Also , she nailed the accent. Meryl sounded _just_ like my Nona, first generation Italian immigrant. Both of the above mentioned are extraordinary ladies.

Thank you for taking the time to create a story about the movie. Clint preferred the Holliwell Bridge as it was more rustic. Roseman had just gotten a fresh coat of paint. The Cedar Bridge is in pristine condition other than the graffiti that always appears. Wish someone had painted the white part of the RB before you filmed. Seeing the 45s last name is unappealing. But, again your video has been a joy for many folks who needed to hear some history. Next time your in town. Stop at the Chamber of Commerce and will take you on a tour. Peace

Definitely one of my favorite movies. I've been into home theater now for a long time. I managed to build up a large collection of Laser Discs years before DVD hit the market. It amazes me that some of these towns are still so much in their original condition! So often only a few lucky old buildings stay and are maintained, and new buildings go up all around them. It looks so quaint and must feel like you've gone back in time. But I have to say some of these places look very lonely, like everyone's gone and moved.

Fantastic vlog on this one, Jordan!! 👍🏻👏🏻. Yes, I remember watching it when it came out, and it still is one of my favorites. Yes, a moral quandary indeed. However I think it taps into everyone - in the sense of choosing which path to take in situations where the results would be vastly different. The big “ Pivotal Turn”. I too remember that line from Robert Kincaid as he is about to head out the door. I hear it from time to time in my life choices. Thanks, Jeff.

I did just that back in 1998. Go when the weather is warmer because Iowa is bleak in winter. Basically farmland that looks much nicer when there's greenery and cornstalks. Not a slam against the state, just stating it's a largely flat agricultural area without hills or forests. If I recalled that incorrectly someone will surely let me know.
@LorrieB3304 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I live in TN so imagine it will look somewhat similar to the landscape I’m used to. However, I have a feeling their winters are much worse so I’ll definitely plan around when it’s warmer. I’m determined to do it in the next two years, it’s necessary considering how much I love it. I can quote the movie, word for word, lol.
