These lawyers want an increase in crime. Simple as. A public defender would be better and cheaper to administer

Terrence actually seems half decent. I have no idea why he's wasting his time with that Vera as his partner.

Back in 1983, on my way to work I got a $15 summons in NYC for jumping the turnstile at a subway station. It wasn't true bc I had bought enough tokens the night before to last me a week but a police officer thought otherwise. I decided to fight the case so when I went to court the judge asked me: "guilty or innocent?" to which I said innocent. He then directed me to another room where I was told that in order to fight the case I would need to hire an attorney which in my mind meant paying a whole lot of money that I didn't have so I went back to the judge and told him I would rather pay the $15 fine and get it over with. Had I known anything about public defenders at the time I would've fought that case bc I knew I was innocent. Throughout the yrs I've heard police officers are assigned quotas of tickets to give by their superiors in order to bring in revenue to the dept so I guess I was just another innocent victim in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I'm not mistaken I still have a copy of the receipt of the ticket I paid that day.

Vera’s such a nice lady, she’ll just send the boys around to cut you if you don’t pay your drug debts.

I am law abiding and have worked all my life in law and now I’m a nurse.....I’m paying for these low life repeat offenders......there’s something seriously wrong with our judicial system. The lawyers visit them at their home like it’s some sort of social event. But they are the victims aren’t they.......poor offenders, let’s all feel sorry for you and I’ll keep working to pay for your lawyers!
@readmycomment31572 жыл бұрын
1. They are all innocent until proven guilty in court. 2. You pay to maintain a justice system that you may well one day rely on to get you justice. Access to legal services for everyone is a fundamental part of that. 3. Too many of these comments reak of snobbery.

Babylon Central top band. I used to own their singles on tape... when Karmacoma came out I almost wet my pants, what a tune, Live With Me was and is one of my favourite tracks ever. Teardrop from Mezzanine is beautiful and even tho the video they made to accompany it was a little bizarre at first glance it is still up there as one of the greatest of the 90’s.

@@allannahk Love those moments. Mezzanine definitely in my all time top 10 island albums. Might have to crank some Massive Attack while I attack a constitutional law assignment today!

11:00 We need English subtiitles for people who speak English. Don't bother with the [CC] captions..."So I finished work think it was about five o'clock Thursday, goes to the local pub, goes home, starts making tea..." gets translated as "Then so I think those day caught some local folks on a few things goes on started make the teaser..." And it took me five tries to get his spoken words correct...and I'm still not sure about some of those.

The 63 year old woman looks a little overweight to be an amphetamine user, doesn't she? (She said the drugs were for her own use.) But the only actual drug named in the conversation with the attorney seemed to be "caffeine," or did I misunderstand what was said?
@germyw6 жыл бұрын
She's a drug dealer. She claimed that the stash was for personal use to avoid jail.

Sharon Taylor I think the caffeine was to mix in, it was a considerable amount of amphetamine they found in three jars/containers.

You can never underestimate just how stupid people are ...the guy goes not guilty and goes to trial ( which costs money ) and then the fool goes guilty on the stand ...what a clown . But evidently crime does pay ...not just for the criminals but so much for the leeches that make money for it
