I love the happy ending. I love how Ye gave her the opportunity to see the world and learned about things away from him. He let her have the time away from him to find out how much she loved him. She prompted him about the meeting in Venice, and remembered the meeting herself without his prompting. I love a man who gave a woman room to find out what she truly wanted.

I think most of us agree with you. These two have gone through so much and even at the end,Siyan managed to continue to keep them apart, until the bridge scene. This drama lacks the impact of those emotional scenes between Zhou Ran and Rong Xuan when I feel the bubbling emotions should lead to an embrace or something more meaningful !!

@@martacristinapereira2369 I think you mean the writers?? It reminded me almost of the ending of Sealed With A Kiss with Ying Er and Hawick Lau. It was so obvious they loved each other but they parted and it was over. Then adding insult to injury the production team put together a second small series of later that also was very unsatisfying. I felt cheated just like this ending. He finally realized how important she was to help him grow. The ending was not all that romantic. Bad writing and directing. The ML is gorgeous, and Peter Sheng is always a pleasure to watch and look at. Zhang Tian Ai also plays well against him. Very expressive features. This is the second drama with these two. Go, Princess, Go also had a sadistic disappointing ending.

Forgot to add that the wardrobe of Zhou Ran and Ye Ronxugan was stunning. The most definitely paired well, just disappointing that there wasn't a bonus episode, where we could see them being a couple or even married...instead of our imagination to speak for itself while they somehow "met up" at the bridge...and then take it from there, even with Guo Rui and Xiouman???

The ending should have had them getting together on the bridge. This is so unfulfilling, there is a chasm between them. No hugs or kissing to end this long drawn out series. So much could have been eliminated. I really wanted the woman editor to reveal all of Siyan's evil in front of the two lovers to get rid of her. Didn't happen!! Siyan got off easy, far too easy!!! I hope they have a second series that begins anew in Venice with more kissing and a wedding would have been GREAT!! The writers and producers dropped the ball at the end. They are going to be together I am sure but we as the audience that struggled through all these episodes needed, and deserved, a much more loving ending. I guess the important thing is the lovers were there at the appointed time as promised. Redo this mess and help out your viewers.

But nowadays in film scenes, it's not common for actors to watch each other or hesitate to speak for 15", 20" or even up to 40" seconds in film scenes. There is no one who walks very slowly in “film noir” mode after a sentimental blow. That was a technique from the 1960s, right? Time to change that. I love all Sheng Yilun’s dramas. I love his acting. Thank you, Sheng Yilun, for another great one. What an interesting twist on the theme of Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. Sheng Yilun’s dramas always have powerful and smart women who loved him, even if not the FL, but the mother (here) or the grandmother in Oh My General and Go Princess Go. Here, Ye’s mother was powerful and smart. For her son, she thought of everything, including preparing for her business partner’s betrayal of her, her company and her son by voting for the takeover. Money always brings out the worst of people. I understand why his mother kept the truth about Tong’s father from Ye. It took a lot of courage to risk her son’s resentment. If she did not do so, Ye would have married Dong and would only find out about her true character afterwards. Everyone can be good when things are going well. One’s true character always shows at difficult times and by keeping them apart for 3 years, Dong finally showed her true colors.

O final com o cenário de Veneza foi lindo. A lagarta teve q se transformar em uma borboleta e, quiçá agora, o Homem de Gelo se apaixone por essa nova versão dela mesma, pois, até agora, além de sua confusão mental, ele gostava mais era do luxo e sofisticação da Dong. Pra mim, história de amor é qdo, do começo ao fim da história, vc é apaixonado, dedicado e arrebatado por esse amor. Aqui, não houve nada disso.

I despise the photographer. He could have chased the fl after he witnessed her breakup with her useless money grabber boyfriend, but he did not. He only found her interesting after he learned that she was Ye’s girlfriend. He claimed to be a disciple of Dong’s father, but did not even know about his gambling problems that led to his embezzlement. Gambling took excessive time away from work, family and friends for it to become a problem. He never tried to find out the truth of Ye’s breakup with Dong but just assumed Ye was wrong. He knew that Dong was manipulative and without conscience and yet, he let himself be used by her again and rushed to tell Ye about the pregnancy without finding out the truth. What is worse were his selfish reasons to take the FL from Ye, without considering the pain he caused the Fl or the damage he caused Ye and his mother. I was never so glad to see the fl rejected him. Though she did not say it, she knew his motives. It was good that in the end, he realized his mistakes and stuck with Ye.

In all of the dramas I have watched the ML ALWAYS believes the conniving ex over the GF. I have to say though that this drama takes the cake. Most of the time the ML finds out the truth about the ex which leads to the realization that GF is the love of his life which leads to a great ending. This drama was good but frustrating. The ending lacked the power to make us viewers walk away with a smile on our faces. Could’ve been better 😮‍💨

Bro the second lead was soo thoughtful and caring of her and helped her to save her love but this bitch had to fall for the one who ran right back to his past love the moment he had a chance and did shit to hurt her and didn't give a damn about the consequences of his actions. I know love can make people do dumb shit but that was way too bull shit for my taste. Imo the second lead should have just left after finding out that she still had feelings for the male lead and not help. I can never be that selfless to help the one I love to see them longing for someone else. That would break me and leave me with wrath to see everything destroyed. He looks over the water and see her walking and she slowly turns and faces him .. just a sweet presence of love ……. All throughout this drama the ML hardly ever showed his true feelings, he always held back. Rarely did he treat his ML woman with courtesy, respect or even think of how what he did would affect her. Personally I had hoped that the ML female actress would have married the photography guy. He seemed to really love her in his thoughts and actions. The ML male actor seems like he would be a great actor, but he needs parts where he can truly act using all of his feelings and actions rather than just standing in one spot and occasionally running to find her. While I liked this drama, I kept feeling that more emotion could been shown rather than hidden by everyone. They could have at least spoken to the person they were interested in and told them how they felt rather than keeping it as a thought in their own head. I could tell that the main couple loved each other, but did they know that they did? Thank you for putting this on KZbin.

why did the director of the film make such a weak ending? He plowed through the main leads throughout practically the entire drama, and then gave a few seconds for a supposedly happy ending at the bridge, suggesting that after a year they met and actually it's not entirely clear because they stand on opposite sides of the canal... a cold, cold ending without hugs or hugs. ... half a smile, as if pleased with the meeting... very weak considering the previous trauma... it's a pity that they left the level so low... I really dislike this hasty, as if without any idea, ending for the main couple... this the scene of their reunion should be completely different, more emotional... sometimes it happens that the author of the script burns out halfway through the drama and then there is no good end... and in the end I think that the drama was definitely too long....

Nice ending although some would have wanted a big hug & a passionate ending kiss so just continue it in your mind since the director ended a minute soonest🙃😊. Why would a talented intelligent sophisticated and reasonable lady want to be with aman who time and again left her side, mistrusts her and Made her life professional personal (even if slightly) difficult. It’s fine if you don’t feel inclined towards the SML but why need a guy at all at that stage. Give yourself distance and space all the butterflies that were complicating the decision will surely go away to give way to rational decision (which would obviously be not to be with ML😅)

Вот не понимаю я этих сценаристов. Под каким кайфом они сидят, у низ что свет отключили и они не смогли сделать нормальную концовку. Of course the bch doesn't get punished or retribution, no remorse or regret, because she knows the ML will always love her. From the time he described how deeply he loved his ex bch, I don't see how the writers can expect the audience to believe that he stopped loving her. After everything she did, he forgives her and dumps his GF and with all that, the writers will have a happy ending for the ML and FL? It's too convoluted.
