Broken Matt was fantastic, and the Lake of Reincarnation was a great gimmick that should have been used more effectively. Imagine Matt gets hurt, goes into the Lake, and someone else comes out. That person just keeps wrestling as Matt Hardy, so the character is never off tv, then when its time for real Matt to come back, then just go back into the Lake and have real Matt come back out. And just do that continuously.

The Broken Matt persona was one of the best wrestling gimmicks ever in my opinion. It really felt good to see Matt finally get his chance in the spotlight and gain popularity during that time, since all of us loved Jeff way more than him over the years. And although I’m pretty sure there were people that did like him, Jeff was just way more popular with the audience. But the moment that character was born, he became a superstar himself and was no longer in his younger brother’s shadow. He truly deserved it.

I was one of the few people that liked Matt over Jeff. Matt is awesome. Loved every version of him. And this broken matt thing was freakn great. The expedition for gold was one of my favorite things ever too
