And about enunciation... my last name is shivdasani and I grew up in US.. so I say it ‘all American and shit..’ then I majored in classical guitar.. and for some reason we get nailed (mostly by each other ironically) to pronounce composers and everything how it’s suppose to be in the native tongue.. but no one else does it. Everyone else just uses their own dialect.. and they definitely don’t make any effort to pronounce Jimi Hendrix like we do, we just have white ignorant american guilt or something.. and really it’s kinda obnoxious like you guys are saying. But it really struck me when one of my teachers went out of his way to pronounce my last name in a way I’ve never heard it pronounced before.
