Whene'er we are commanded to storm the palisades, Our leaders march with fusees, and we with hand grenades. We throw them from the glacis, about the enemies' ears. With a tow, row, row, row, row, row, the British Grenadiers. And when the siege is over, we to the town repair. The townsmen cry, "Hurrah, boys, here comes a Grenadier! Here come the Grenadiers, my boys, who know no doubts or fears! Then sing tow, row, row, row, row, row, the British Grenadiers. Then let us fill a bumper, and drink a health of those Who carry caps and pouches, and wear the loupèd clothes. May they and their commanders live happy all their years. « Why did this woman kill her own son »screamed the trailer! Carole left the convent to followRoger and the statue came down to take her place until she came to her senses! I have fond memories of seeing this humdinger as a kid!

Smashing. Always good to see superstar Roger Moore, even if his hairstyle would not come into fashion for about 150 years! Wonder if anyone has the full CinemaScope print?
@RabidNemo3 жыл бұрын
It would have been awesome if they had had some of the cavalry troops going by with the breastplates on as kind of a nod to the knights and shining armor. Also what were the bagpipes playing?

In the above summary you state that it was the Regimental quick march of the RA yet I seem to remember that the Regimental march was a slow march but I cannot think of the name, it was 50 years ago.
@HarryFenton61244 жыл бұрын
I passed out of Woolwich in 1976 to the Grenadier march. If that helps. Didn`t know of any other tune for the RA.
@markturner42194 жыл бұрын
As well as the regimentsl march, british regiments have a quick march and a slow march. The slow march of the RA is "The Duchess of Kent" "The Voice of the Guns" is the RA quick march.

@@markturner4219 Thanks, I'm sure it wasn't the Grenadiers. I remember that we had Liberty Bell (Monty Python) and the Thunderbirds March on my passout parade too.

Not rare. Someone owns the rights and won't allow it to be shown on TV.
