The culmination of Michelangelo's genius can be discovered at the British Museum's exhibition, running May 2nd to July 28th, 2024. This focused display delves into his final 30 years, following his return to Rome.
Reunited with old friends and tasked with the Sistine Chapel's Last Judgment from Pope Clement VII, Michelangelo found renewed inspiration. Witness his late-career brilliance through powerful sketches that reflect his deep faith and contemplation of mortality, while he was already famous for works like the statue of David.
Unlike typical exhibitions, this one utilizes intimate documentaries to provide a better look at Michelangelo's artistic process, so a KZbin video may not be the best medium for fully conveying its detailed content.
