32:45 For the overpass I would suggest to use bridge all the way to the houses. As of right now you need to go down from the bridge and then up again. Making it straight would be more realistic IMO, but also that would mean loosing the curve, which you were so happy about

Another excellent addition to a beautiful city! 18:53 Don't forget to allow cars to join onto the new service road from the junctions on the ring road... currently, they can only turn left/right onto the ring road and not straight over... same for the ring road itself, as cars can only go straight or turn left away from the service road. Loving all your videos and I really look forward to each new ep! 💚

If I'm not mistaken there's also a metro (blue line) that ends at the business park. It would seem that that would be perfect to connect into the other side of the terminal station. Also I'd connect that walking path straight to the top of the road. Seems to both be a smaller span than the current ramp, thus cheaper and also friendlier for the user (not having to go down and up again).

I've just binged the Blightea on the Wold playlist, its great! I think there would definitely be some big office buildings by the river near the train station - there is always a big pwc or deloitte in those areas. Also I'd love to see some big fancy houses, a proper posh neighbourhood. Then also I know the game only counts university numbers based on dorms, but in any british uni there would also be a medium sized cheap student housing area with dodgy landlords and plenty of pubs and kebab places.

no biffa, the one way road around the thing from japan where you put the petrol station is going the wrong way for left hand traffic. if you turn that around, then there will be no crossing over each other from the vehicles. they come in, take a left turn immediately, go behind the big thing then get into the petrol station and get out at the other end and can come out again without once changing lanes or crossing over.

At 14:50 instead of going for that crazy rollercoaster track that drops and comes back up again on the far side of the intercity rail line, why not just continue the rail straight and connect it directly to the second line at the same elevated level. With Anarchy you can just pass the line through the inner city line without connecting it to that track.

Hi Biffa! I'm loving the new transport hub, but it got me thinking. A lot of the rail infrastructure in Blightea-on-the-Wold is very modern looking. Whilst I'm sure we'd all love that to be the case in real life, much of the UK's rail infrastructure was built in the Victorian era. I think it would be very cool if some detailing was added to parts of the network that make it look as if it's been in use for 150 years or so! Always love the content, can't wait to see how the city develops.

Came back to this series after awhile and I'm still loving it! The episode's been out for almost a month now and i don't know if anyone's said it before, but since I don't see the next episode yet, I thought I'd share my opinion. I think downgrading the motorway in the middle of the city makes a lot of sense. Usually the highway goes around the city, which you have done too (which is great btw! Amazing idea) and has several exits into the city. Anyway, the city looks amazing and can't wait for the next episode!

For your solution about what to do with your motorway going through the city, have a look at the M602/M62/M60, you could remove the motorway but keep part of it as a cul-de-sac to provide high speed access to the centre of the city but encourage use of the ring road for access to other areas. Love the videos

I don’t think that if you change the inner highway to a collector road, it will be helpful for the city. Is better to connect the new hub road to the bridge. Also I think in a so crowded area with hub and park, needs a small police station.

Can see it at 39.36, the 4 lanes going past the transit hub only allow traffic to go straight on (3 lanes) or turn opposite the transit hub. The build is looking impressive and I agree, UK cities with a Ring Road don't often have Motorways going all the way through them.

I love this transport hub, it's a great spot to put it and really love the addition of the park too! So sad you're not showing as much of the detailing though 😢 About the trains, I always think it's a great idea when you split the lines because trains get congested so easily. But maybe add a crossover so they do have the possibility if needed? Maybe it wouldn't make much of a difference in the game, but seen as this city is heavily realism themed, it would be more fitting as something might go wrong or they'd have to do work on the rail line and would still need to be able to get to the right place. And I really love the whirly interchange and would be sad to see it and all the detailing go. However, a collector would be more logical, as sort of 'Roman Road' straight down the middle as you'd see in a lot of places.

I'm beginning to think that Biffa is secretly planning my city's transportation routes because they make decisions like Biffa. I found it strange that Biffa would remove that part of the metro to replace it with new connections from East Kettling to the new transportation hub and, with a change of stations, from the new hub to Felton, especially when he just put in a train line to cover the first part half of that trip. So with the change to the metro system, service became duplicated with the train system and the existing service became much longer and inconvenient. That's definitely how my city works. The implemented a light rail system that is slower than the bus system it replaced.

That pedestrian overpass has completely lost the plot ... just build a straight path out from Aldersgate, which is already high enough to cross the motorway, and then carry on in a straight line dropping down to the station. I mean, making people walk down, round in a big loop, alongside a motorway, back up, then round in another big loop ... it *is* what a lot of councils would do, but Blightea Council should be better than that!

One probleme with these videos it that it's all builds and fixes, and no just stepping back and watching the action. I would suggest recording same shorts. Just point the camera at something. Record a minute or two or three, then put it out as a short. Maybe a view of a station with people coming and going. Following a ferry boat in one of the coastal city. A cityscape view with the day/night cycle switched on. Doing this might be a way the bring in more subscribers.

HAving direct metro connection between the two train stations is redundant since they are linked together by a train shuttle. Prefer a complementary metro network. Plus that train station metro station would have been in the right alignement to serve the medieval town. You convoluted overpass should be in a T not in an H configuration, the big branch of the T should be directly connected to the road up... Seems so obvious doesn't it?

I'm not sure what purpose the new hub serves. It's connected to the outside world and to the other hubs, but it's only barely connected to the actual districts it sits between. Currently if you live in the midival park and want to go to the rest of the city you have to drive to the highway, onto the circle, onto the hub. At which point it's faster to drive strait to your destination. Or walk through the very long detour around the wall, and through the paid for park. The other side of the highway is a bit better connected with the free pedestrian bridge but its still to great if you are going further from there. In general your public transport seems to be C shaped, having a distinct gap between the episode 1 city and the new hub. Overall this new area holds a lot of promise but needs some better integration and polish. Nice episode, cya on the next one.

I love how your overpass has to go to the ground and then curve up a hill instead of just continuing as a bridge XD

Hi Biffa, when you are up for a new challenge soon: I am doing one now that I am having a lot of fun with: I am building a city, but as soon as I can unlock a new tile, I have to unlock one immediately and stop zoning in all the former tiles. (I can however add service, monuments, parks, roads etcetra in them as well.) Also I can't choose what square to build on. The dice will decide for me. So it's kind of a one square and randomness challenge.

Idk if you should downgrade the highway in the middle. It seems like a complete disaster if you do that. They won't take the ring road, they will still use the downgraded highway and it will have less capacity... Also changing one of the busiest junctions in your city to a smaller one doesn't seem like a good idea. I agree that this massive highway intersection doesn't look great at this location. So, in short, I don't think that will work well, or you have to put a lot of traffic fixing work into it to make it work.

I think making sure everywhere has enough parking would add to the realism more. Some of the big residential towers don’t seem to have much

Wow you are brilliant with bringing it all together!! I think the motorway to collectors is a good idea. Like you said, that will keep the fast and heavy traffic out of the middle on the outer ring instead. Love watching you build! Such a great concept of things🤩

I love the idea of getting rid of the inner motorway. Blighty currently feels like 5 or 6 different towns, but removing the inner motorway could make it feel like one connected place

I keep thinking the Mediaval Park is missing a ring-road, one that runs along the walls, interally.
