I remember the folk night that was held in The Olde Castle pub in Doncaster from the late 1980's, we used to drop in occasionally, this song sums up what went on there. Best I saw was a chap who covered Over The Lancashire Hills which had recently featured on the 1987 Before Your Time album by Simon Nicol. The Donny folk cognoscenti didn't consider the song 'folk enough' and the poor guy was censured by the organiser. I didn't go back and neither did the hapless , censured troubadour. Great to hear Maart Alcock's Surfeit Of Lamprey at the end of MG.
