Brody should have played Evan Hansen in the 2021 movie.

I wish this came out 5 years ago because Mike Faust would have been the perfect Dallas

I was thinking this too, haha. Joshua Boone has great Dally vibes too though, I think he'll be amazing

As a huge fan of the original movie and a rockabilly/greaser culture fan, where’s the rockin music, the edge, the rebelliousness, it’s all whiny hippie folk music and is nothing like the greaser subculture and also it took place in Tulsa 1965 not 1967
@silverrraven53498 ай бұрын
dude, i just saw a professional production of willy wonka where violet was a hip-hop-dancing tiktok star. let "the 60s, generally" be good enough

broadway can’t let musicals be in its own niche anymore, it always has to appeal to the widest audience possible :( i think this musical would be great with some songs like you said but bway wants to bring in the genz demographic who likes the “whiny” music as you put it

No theres 2 ladies in here

I don't think Tulsa was that woke in the sixties, (still isn't). but I understand they have to cater to todays audience.

What do you mean woke? I’m curious

@@brycem.4062 the diversity hire, also the girl who plays cherry is all about ‘female power’ and stuff
@brycem.40625 ай бұрын
@@sydney_is_bestestI didn’t notice any problems with diversity hiring here. They seem to all fit the roles well. I haven’t seen the actual show though, only some songs and interviews

Yes, i instantly rolled my eyes. i am so tired of seeing things with diverse casting that makes no sense in the time or place.

But on Broadway it’s about talent. Not about race or beliefs or whatever. If you’re the best, you’re the best. And all of these actors are incredible.

Theres no black people on the outsiders and none of them look like greasers that show is going to be terrible it wouldnt shock me they will make them gay
@MariaDonkova9 ай бұрын
Dude no they aren’t calm down 😂 what gave you that idea? If it’s the male friendships they were just as close in the books, pony literally cuddles his brother in bed.
@SamanthaHendrix-oe3jv6 ай бұрын
I don’t think you have actually read the book cause in the first chapter it literally says that Johnny is dark skinned with jet black hair which means that color didn’t matter to the greasers
@DeniseLopez-gt9wg6 ай бұрын
@@SamanthaHendrix-oe3jv I READ THE BOOK IT DOESNT MEAN HES BLACK JUST A TAN KID,THEY PUT THE BLACK GUY IN THE PLAY BECAUSE THESE IDIOTS THINK BLACKS NEED TO BE INCLUDED WITH EVERY WHITE PERSON WHICH IS SO STUPID AND SO UNREALISTIC,SO STOP LYING AND TRYING TO MAKE JOHNNYS CHARACTER BLACK WHICH HE ISNT
@lauraelina78635 ай бұрын
1. Johnny was darker skinned 2. The skin color doesnt affect the characters at all. So i dont get why youre mad theyre all great at playing their roles

@@lauraelina7863 HE wasn't black and how does black dude greases his hair,they put the black dude in because of dei no one will everconvince me Johnny was black that's a huge lie
