Thank you very much for sharing information about your books! I really love books! I teach children how to sew Teddies and dolls. We study their history and sewing machines, handicrafts. I am collecting content from books on this topic. I really want to learn restoration. I'm very glad to have found you here! ♥️🧸🧚♀️

Those books were quite expensive when I bought some of them. I need to track down the Modern Doll Rarities!

The doll that you thought might be cultural was one of these swimming dolls, she is shown in full on the opposite page, how strange you should come across such a rare doll in those two books.

Excellent books. If you did want to make your own doll you could do a sculpt out of clay. You have to get the patent on it done and then try to sell it to a toy company or doll manufacturer. I have thought about that too. I would love to see a big reborn baby sculpt with molded hair. About a 4-month size when the hair really starts to grow in. Right now I am still working on building the back steps. I'm hoping to have it finished tomorrow. I can't wait for all this home repair to be done so I can get back to my dolls. Thank you for sharing the books. Have a great day.❤❤❤❤❤

The Coleman books are the Bible of the doll books. They are expensive. I have I think it’s the first book with a green cover. I think these books have more information than what I am finding on line. You got lucky in getting that book. Thank you for sharing 🤗

Hi, you mentioned a dolls hair and that made me think to ask... I've heard you mention mohair hair, saran hair.. I don't know what is what, do you have any videos on dolls hair types or could you do a short video showing us some examples ? thanks

I am so glad you now have 2/3 Coleman Encyclopedias! I hope he has The Encyclopedia of Doll Clothing for you! I paid $100 for #2 when new! They were at the forefront of doll research and Anne is still with us, she is on Michael Canadas (Carmel Doll Shop) channel in many videos. Dolls is an interesting coffee table book. The Jumeau, S & H and Pollocks are very good. A lot of the information in books is not online and unfortunately the misinformation in books has made it online. The best reference is Dolls Magazine put out by UFDC as part of its membership. If you are not a member please consider joining! If you do not have a club in your area you can join an online club or join as a stand alone. The Canadian one I have not seen! Do you have the Shirley Temple Doll book? That one is a must have with all the Shirleys you have!
