I want it so after you offered to fix up the robot fallen empire, and the fix is completed, there’s a dialogue option that you can click that awakens them. But you are not told which option will awaken or keep asleep.

I really like the idea that an exterminator race slowly became the Caretakers over time as the Contingency continued to ravage the galaxy time and time again, and your reading of that XT-489 story makes this idea even more interesting to me

I remember in one game after the crisis was defeated (the Contingency I think) a message popped-up that said that the Caretakers “pointed their ships towards the center of the galaxy and jumped” and completely abandoned all their systems. Seems like based on that that they were created in response to the Contingency (probably after their first attack and subsequent defeat) and after their threat was neutralized the Caretakers were programmed to self-destruct.

In basically all my playthroughs the caretakers are the only fallen empire I'll never bother, always like having them just being there. Be nice if there was a new rift added with an event chain involving another universe's anicent caretakers where they weren't crippled giving you the chance to allow your universe's caretakers to "wake up" so to speak like other fallen empires with 3 possible outcomes, they turn into galactic protectors once again, they turn hostile falling to the ghost signal during the crisis or their programming completely breaks down resulting in them ceasing to exist.

I always go out of my way to make sure that I’m on good standing with this FE. In fact, on a few occasions, I’ve had my entire empire swarm all around it, so that the whole FE is protected within my domain. I’m a wide player btw

until the contengency spawn, hack it and send fallen fleet on you but out of that main issu i have a tendency to do the same (until i turn exterminator and just took over him and safe guard is pop)

@@dumpsterpsycho2894 it a 50% once the contengency pop up, around 2 to 3 month there is a 50/50 that ethier the fallen wake up and fight that long lasting war againt the contengency or that he got corrupted and start blasting every one WHIT the contengency (there only one way to put him out of this and it to kill him (dont remebmer if killing the contengency save him thou)) you got quite lucky (most of my luck on this must have gone to you since i got him waking up to fight whit us like 3 time (againt easeky a thousand time))

@@saunta100 honestly nanite swarm ships with hangers are great, you can get several hundred nanite swarmers every 5 years. you can pair this with the riddle escort ships which have high evasion and will draw enemy fire, allowing your nanite ships to keep pumping out fighters. from experience, it easily overwhelms the x30 cetana crisis. tldr - nanite swarms great with another ship to draw fire but very laggy

Last Known Record of the Diordian Confluence She won, despite our Legions, our unending fleets, she beat Infinity and crushed us and the galaxy. With no choice left, we embraced the final option, the last plan to save our existence. Building a Device the Fallen, bless them, had called a Horizon Needle, we gathered what remained of our population, leaving a meager few on what we had designated our Capital after a crushing, final stand in our home system, and headed for the nearest unclaimed Black Hole. We leave this for any who survive in this galaxy. When your back is against the Wall, punch a Hole through it, as the Beings we tried to Protect on Sol 3 would say Diordian Confluence - 2641.07.19 (I technically "Won" the game by achieving this, but how I got destroyed battle after battle, tis a pyrric victory x.x)

It's interesting to me that the Caretaker fallen empire draws energy from buildings designated as "class-4 singularity", considering isn't it the class-30 singularity that the Contingency is trying to prevent? That sort of implies to me that a class-30 singularity has something to do with generating energy.

The Ancient Caretakers are my favorite chill fallen empire. They can't declare war on me, give me gifts for no reason and can't take part in War in Heaven.

Nowadays, sadly, I let the contingency run rampart and conquer whatever they could wherever (unless it's in my territory or some weak FE) just to see them expand and force Cybrex to come out. Unfortunately the Contingency AI is so stupid their fleets just go in one line from their world to somewhere in the galaxy, eventually hitting one of my systems where I have to deal with them or just coming back and repeat the whole thing from beginning and whatever systems with inhabited planets are "taken", usually they fail to fall under Contingency's control and the starbase of the empire controlling the planets gets rebuilt making the following contingency armies unable to conquer any of the planets in order to start sterilization process. I've had watched a few times contingency being this way for many many years only to see them struggle to achieve any of their goals. The only planets they are able to take are and sterilize are the unfortunate ones where sterilizing hubs are, as their starbases are unable to be rebuilt... They are one of the most passive crises ever. The most passive is probably Cetana, because the only time I encountered her, after declaring war against her she was just sitting in her systems shaking in fear of my fleets coming to get her...

This guys turned against me during contingency crisis. I left them without attention while concentrating all of my fleets fighting with crisis. They maneged to break my defence (10x crisis. Almost no space fortress can stop them without fleet support) and get to my capital system. We hardly...solved this problem and without your report I had a strong directive for myself to destroy them in a short time after contingency signs starts to appear. Well, let's try to just hold them in the next time ;)

Have we been overthinking the class 30 singularity too much? A class four singularity seems to be a power plant built on a dark matter resource node with most of the dark matter nodes being associated with black holes, rifts, or portals (at least in vanilla.) I've had dimensional portal researchers on my planets and those job opening get bigger and bigger the more population I have implying I keep building onto this dark matter portal more and more. Seems like the most simple answer is that the singularity is a black hole or portal and the class is just the size. I guess from here we have to test the question of how many pops I can fit on a portal researchers planet and how big I can make these singularities...

Huh, you know for something the size of a ringworld, talking in terms of billions is really small... Like earth if completely covered in the density of a town would be something like 600 billion people, and if you stretch the earth into a piece of string around the sun it'd be less than a tenth of a centimeter wide. Ecumonopolis and ringworlds should be able to house trillions.
