I was living in southern Oregon in 1997 when someone at school passed me season of da sicc and it was like a portal to a completely different world. That cd gave me chills every time I popped it in. How the image on the cd was. The cover...it was like a grail item. That shit got passed around to everyone who listened to hip hop and it was like everybody's secret. Shit was just different. I picked up Loaded on cassette in 1997 and I was straight up giddy leaving the store with that in my hand. At that time you had to be 16 to purchase parental advisories and I was 14 and soooo stoked they sold it to me. I was nervous AF...like I was buying beer...lol. Best produced hip hop record of all time..the crunching of the leaves as someones walking, studio chatter in the background, first degrees weird spoken word skits...like texas chainsaw Massacre in the hood.

Its about time a documentary came up. The man is a fk'n LEGEND, like seriously the music and culture would be completely different today without his footprints there to inspire and guide others. And he seems to be pretty unassuming and humble, totally gives off " just another normal dude" vibes, despite his music having made a impression on a level that reaches globally, crosses cultures and lifestyles, and has contributed in shaping the sound and careers of some of the biggest names in the rap gane. Im glad that hes getting some of the shine and recognition hes earned over the years. Its long past due. Respect.
