I have a cynergy black ice I absolutely love it. From the minute I picked it up off the shelf at the shop I was in love. It feels like it was made for me fits beautifully. Shoot clay and game with it awesome

I bought one several weeks ago. The handling is very good in the field . Mine is the synthetic. I too wish the comb was more rounded, using heavy field loads is not as comfortable as it could be. Overall I am pleased.

I had a wood cynergy for 7/8 years, had it oil finished to lose the nasty varnish. Shot clays and game with it, it was great at both, no recoil at all, 21s felt like you were shooting nothing and could happily shoot lumpy stuff all day too, nice mechanical trigger. (Had a pin come out once only issue I had) very underrated gun shots much better than it’s price point.

I own 5 Brownings(skite) 725, GTS,2x BSS but not least is a Cynergy feather weight 20 gauge with 28” barrels and I love it.

I have a Cynergy just like the one you shot. I've had it since 2018. It came with internal chokes so i've just purchased a set of Teague extended chokes and the difference in handling is improved for me. The one thing I have noticed is that the gun keeps itself very clean unlike some of the more traditional Brownings such as the Ultra Excess. I don't know why this but cleaning it takes no time at all even after putting 200 fibre cartridges through it. The plastic is holding up well with hardly any degradation unlike the earlier 2013 version. For me its a winner!

I got a synthetic Feather model, second hand, as new, here in Canada 6 years ago and I use it for Ruffed Grouse hunting. Handles very well and of course, no worries about scratching anything in it... Now the one I got was from the early production models and it had a synthetic material that was slightly rubbery. The thing is, this synthetic material started to become sticky year after year. I then learned that this was a known issue with those early ones... A gunsmith here told me to call Browning Canada and to my surprise they were very happy to replace, for free, the whole synthetic stock ... They even gave me multiple synthetic stock (color) options from the latest models to choose from... The one I see in this video does not seem to have the old stock I had (rubbery one) so I presume it is a newer production...

I have the Cynergy CX wood stock model with 30 inch barrels. The wooden stock models have a more conventional look to them. No hump back stock or ugly recoil pad. I think you would find this model more to your liking. I Agree it is a reasonably priced entry level O/U. Mine is used for trap and sporting clays and I absolutely love it.

Ive had a Black Ice for 14 years now and its served me well. I remember when it first came out and all the traditionalists tried to trash it claiming stocks snapping, the rubber grip pads rotting off all kinds of nonsense.
@karamich752 жыл бұрын
Yes the "rotting" or sticky stock issue happened with mine as well (I explained it in my comment) but a couple of years ago, Browning replaced the stock for free and the new stock material feels great...

I’ve got the Wicked wings version 28” ceracote barrels bottomland camouflage, it might be a USA 🇺🇸 version ony. It’s sold as a water fowl gun. Some may say it’s tacky, it is front heavy but easy and fun to shoot . It’s my rainy day gun for sporting clays.

Another great review David! I got the Cynergy CX 32" for Christmas. I've been out to the range two times with it, trap shooting. And so far I'm loving it! Big airshow fan here and hoping to get over to RIAT at RAF Fairford one of these summers. I see you guy's are about an hour away. would love to stop by and bust some clays! All the best!

Nicely done, but prices have gone way up on these shotguns here in America. In 2019 you could buy these brand new for $1,200. I bought a very nice condition Beretta 682 Gold E for $2,000 instead. But I really thought about getting the wood stock version. Hopefully I run into someone at the Sporting Clays club that has one and will let me try it out on a few stands. Cheers from America!

I just picked one up in the states to replace my 725 sporting. The reason as you said because its synthetic and can take a beating and much cheaper than my 725. I got tired of getting scratches and nicks on a $3500 gun. But let me tell you the synthetic cynergy is a hard find here. I found one store that had one that had been sitting for a while that typically sells ar style guns and i had to ask about it cause it was in the back. Other than that no one has one

I have the black synthetic 32" version and love the gun. When I first got the Cynergy, I found it very front heavy. I added some weight to the butt stock and now it balances on the hinge. I my opinion it is a great starter gun for Skeet, Trap or Sporting Clays. This gun has very little felt recoil.

MY jeep showed them all up strait to the top no prob's ,and it only have all weather tyres on .no kidding great 4X4 of all time. Cynergy are great too.

Fabulous; bought this from Cluny Guns just recently. Comes with chokes, key, pads, really nice negrini hardcase and trigger lock. The set up out the box is good, it’ll last forever and def turned heads on the sporting ground when I went out first time with it a few weeks back m.everyone wanted a look and feel... it’s a comfortable weight and sleek to handle so feels like a quality piece of kit. Highly recommend.

Isaac, there is a reason this gun is a face slapper FOR YOU. It's because it's not a good fit FOR YOU. That does not mean that this isn't a good fit for someone else. I'll also note that I find it very surprising that someone with your experience is completely unaware that guns fit people differently. BTW, I use a 12 gauge 1992 Citori Sporting Clays Lightning for 12 gauge events in Skeet Registered Shoots. Because it's a perfect fit and I can hit well with it. It's a smooth shooter without any hint of face slap and I strongly believe that I would find the same shooting a brand new CXS. Because I happen find Browning fit me great. BTW, also have 3 Beretta's and two have adjustable combs tuned to a Browning fit and my 410/28 Silver Pigeon III Sporting happened to feature a Browning fit right out of the box. Point is a poor fit isn't the fault of the gun, it's simply a gun that doesn't fit. In that case you can either shop for a different gun or have an adjustable stock installed so it can be tuned to fit well.

Does this gun compare to a Benelli 828u? (Have you tested one?) I am looking for low recoil, as I have a deep brain stimulator fitted and am looking to buy something along these lines. I realise cartridge technology has improved no end since I was last shooting as regards recoil. A lighter gun with reduced recoil would be great. I will book some time at a shooting school to begin with for advice prior to purchase. Quite possibly yours as I have wached so many of your films I feel I know you already lol

I love beautiful side-by-sides, yet I would gladely have this as a "hard time gun". I mean a tough day when you get into thick bushes stock would be scratched all over, caught by the rain, etc. It would be the feel no sorry for the gun in my gun cabinet.

@@DJONES8610 It is honestly a fantastic gun, I chopped in a Beretta 682 Super Sport to buy it and don't regret it one bit. Straight out of the case the clays were breaking, nothing fantastic 6's and 7's out of 10. like others blanking on the more difficult stands (I'm not the best :-) ). It is a confidence inspiring gun to shoot. It has internal chokes and 28" barrels I see no reason to change. Of all the guns I have had cheap to Miroku's Beretta's and Browning 525's this has to be the best yet, I know it's a Marmite gun and I hate Marmite, this is the best yet, for me anyway.
@DJONES86103 жыл бұрын
@Kev H MW1FJK Result! It's great when you can find a gun that works for you. Doesn't matter about it being a marmite gun. If you shoot it well that's the most important thing. You could spend a lot more on a gun and not shoot it any better.
