One thing to note: Lead Spray doesn’t actually add 11 flat damage, it multiplies your damage by 1.5, not just changing the base damage, but the damage offered by mods as well.

I like that the only reason everyone doesn't uses the BRT7 is because you need to get used the low firing bust fire mechanic. But once you get used to it, then your having a Pretorian/Oppressor Melter. Problem, you melt through ammo as fast as you kill the bugs.

Microflechettes does look bad on the surface, but combining it with the stunning upgrade in Tier 5 makes it basically a taser! The short time for a burst can be an instant stun on bulkier enemies.

One of my favorite secondaries. Pairs with all of Gunners primaries in several ways. Either burst damage for single target, or long range accuracy if he needs that.

Tip: Press RMB to melee and cancle the burst to shoot one shot. Useful when dealing with swarmer or popping gunk seeds

Maxing out the damage with Lead Spray leaves you with very little ammo, but you get a dreadnaught killing machine. Crack open a dreadnaughts armor with your primary then hit its weakpoint with the BR17 and its basically an instant phase trigger for Hiveguard and Classic. Sometimes you can even kill one of the twins from around half health before they can heal each other.

I used to hate this gun compared to the other to, but after using it for a while, I love it. Despite what people think or what was said here, Bert is not good for swarm control(primaries are much better for that). Like the bulldog, it is best for dumping those rounds into the weak points of tankier+ high value targets at close-mid range And the tier 5 mod stun can keep them pretty much permanently stun locked. Feels great to use with aoe gunner primaries like thunder canon or hurricane.

Only complain with the brust gun is that experimental rounds and lead spread is basically the same but with different downside, would be cooler for experimental round to be more elmental base like how each bullets explode and deal heat dmg

so the overclocks are: ammo clean, ammo balanced, ammo unstable dmg clean, dmg balanced, dmg unstable Crowd Control Unstable pretty simple

I just love this gun because it was the first one I got a really unique overclock for, being Electric Minelets. It's not amazing or anything, but piercing bullets that create mines is just cool and I will never not feel nostalgic for it being my first really fun overclock

Bulldog: single target with stun+toxin or aoe toxin build Coil: insane aoe/cc even at base. Plus flexible OCs. BRT7: low ammo burst. I favor flexible weapons so it doesn't suit most of my builds that flow and sync up well.

My fav weapon in the game hands-down. A couple of bursts from behind and a power attack with the pickaxe pops pretty much anything. Good times!

This weapon has been by godsend. I basically use it as the pistol but with more shots, and it is so helpful in that way. Since I use the minigun, if the bugs get the jump on me, I swap to this and start firing down. No rev up needed, and that's a good thing to have for a Gunner.

Too limited to be used in most of my builds but I still run electro minelets because wiping an entire swarm with it looks really pretty and satisfying.

I hope in future seasons we get more secondary overclocks and we get one for the BRT7. Maybe one that gives you a percentage of ammo back if you hit all the shots in the bursts.

Keep in mind that u can interrupt the burst by pulling out ur pick axe, therefore allowing u to shoot 1 or more rounds at will.

I had a cool idea for an over clock for the breach cutter turning it into a melee weapon like a handheld table saw of plasma and it has an overheat mechanic instead of a set ammo amount.

I can't speak for everyone but, for me personally, this always felt like the most effective and easy to consistently get good crowd clearing value out of among gunner's secondaries without overclocks and such. But I just found it less fun/cool than the others, notably the revolver. And I'm speaking for crowd clearing specifically - not killing bigger priority targets or anything else, and this is without overclocks, to reiterate. Completely from "feel" of trying them at face value when i first used them. And I know there's some overclocks for the others I'll love if/when i get them... looking at you, six-shooter.

Just a pet peeve of mine about these videos... when you talk about "ammo efficiency", what you actually mean is just more ammo. Having more ammo has nothing to do with efficiency. Efficiency would be if, with the same amount of ammo, you could do more damage or if there were extra benefits.

It's a very good secondary, a workhorse gun. I feel it's too balanced, hence why it's not as popular. Only Lead Spray and Minelets let it do something more interesting. It won't let you down but it also won't really do anything crazy. Other than maybe melting Praetorians with Lead Spray and weakpoint bonus damage.

IMHO bulldog with sixshooter/volatile bullets for single target and coilgun with ulramagnetic coils are far better then this gun unless you're using lead spray in single-point defence missions or enclosed spaces or compact mags for being a madman and shooting constantly.

Can you talk about Electric Focused Shot OC for Scout's M1000? I really want to use it over GK2's electrifying reload but I can't find a reason (or a build) to use it

The electro mk1000 build is gonna be way more elite capable but worse in a swarm. Just build it how you like, but consider a secondry good at close range, the zukovs with the buff against electrified enemies would give you extra single enemy sustain and help in a swarm. Tldr, its a good mk1000 upgrade and you can really fit it into any build, just give it a go.

Microflechettes is just objectively a worse base, bulldog, or coil. Half damage for accuracy on the gun with fine accuracy, on the slot with bulldog and coil, is never worth anything. The ammo and mag upsides are purely to make up for making your damage not exist. Half dps for minimal upside my favorite genre of overclock.

You forgot to mention breakpoints. Full chamber seal, with the High velocity bullets and +40% weak spot damage means if you weak spot hit basic chaff, you will one-shot/burst kill. This is VERY important. Experimental rounds with Weak spot +40% damage means you can one shot the bigger chaff. That also means you can take something else in slot 1 other than +3 damage since that will not hit a breakpoint. Also something eXTREMEly important for new players. Blow through means the shot goes through the target. So the minellets you aim a little bit down. While the last OC if you take bonus dmg it annihilates praetorians from the front. Remember blow through you can hit weak spots that are under armor.

*PSA blowthrough mods don't let you hit a weakpoint through armor. Have to break the armor. Armor break mods however will allow the bullet that breaks the armor to go through.
