Corruption happens on every location on earth where people have authority over other people. What african people suffer more from is a corrupt government which inflate the supply until their savings is worthless and there cannot plan their future. Money is the key to freedom and sovereignty which Bitcoin provides we only need to develop apps on top of Bitcoin's blockchain to make it as easy to spend/receive as a normal bank app but still being decentralized which is happening.

Kinda long story but after I got out of the marines, I spent about 18 months as a security contractor for a company based out of England. I was sent to Cameroon for 6 months where our job was to protect trucks shipping cargo to and from Cameroon and CAR. Before we would deploy we would get status reports about the route we would take that day. The amount of disturbingly violent incidents we would read about coming out of CAR still makes me shudder. Sometimes the reports would include video evidence. Stories and images of massacres and cannabilism were almost daily. It's the closest thing to hell a person can ever imagine. Ben Anderson has some balls going there bc it is absolutely lawless (or at least it was like that 5 years ago).

In 2022 the seleka have mostly disbanded or been disarmed, the remaining seleka group FPRC led by Noureddine Adam made peace with Anti-Balaka and have joined them in the CPC, a coalition of rebels against the government of CAR. The CPC is made up by Francois Bozize and his forces, Anti-Balaka, ex-Seleka forces, FPRC, 3R, ex-LRA forces and others. The government have now controlled the most territory in the country since 2013, with the number of Anti-Balaka, Seleka, 3R and LRA territories significantly reduced. It is looking like in the next few years the conflict will hopefully come to an end with a Government/UN victory, successfully crushing the rebels. However continued Christian unrest against Muslims will almost definitely continue.

The only argument for colonialism, Africa under European Empires was far more peaceful and prosperous than it is during the post colonial period. Ask any older person who lived during the colonial era from these nations and they would say it was better under Europe. At the moment the only reason these countries and most of the people live is because of the UN, and the UN cant even protect the camps they make because they are rarely allowed to retaliate in a fight. Sub saharan Africa hasn't progressed at all from the colonial era, in fact most of the cities, infrastructure and proper concrete buildings where built by the Europeans.

Humanitarian aid should not be funneled through singular corrupted channels and should really come in the form of education and resource management. These people deserve peace. IMO, places like this should be occupied to ensure adequate representation from rebels and regions alike. Separate religion from state politics, dig like Libya for water, mandate a protected free marketplace, and use monetary aid to make government jobs. If these rebels are really altruistic then they will join their national guard to defend a proposed system that will provide economic sustainability. Solving corruption worldwide would be easy if we had methods to ensure transparency of government. Together, secrecy and power is our worst enemy. A democratically elected republic is a great system as long as we know exactly what proceedings our representatives make. National and incorruptible public databases seem like the best method to achieve reasonable accountability, since any claim to corruption or misrepresentation could now be grounded empirically with a simple connection to the internet. The efficacy of such a public resource would depend on how easy it is to update, access, use, read, and secure, since many barriers may exist for an average citizen or government. I believe something like this could even save first world nations like USA from spawning shadow governments and military intelligence operations that typically have net negative impacts around the world.
