So you cast, then doing 1 crank, wait, and repeat? You don’t swim the Bucktail ?
@BobAquatic7 ай бұрын
In this application I was bouncing bottom. Depending on where the fish are staged you will need to change retrieve speed and lure weight to present the bucktail correctly. It takes a lot of on the water practice to make sense of
@vsonic867 ай бұрын
@@BobAquatic what situation do you bounce and what situation you should swim them? Sorry, I’m a little confuse here.
@BobAquatic7 ай бұрын
@@vsonic86 Process of elimination, you'll know if the fish are up top. If not, try mid water column, that doesn't work bounce bottom. Not on bottom, switch it up. Every tide cycle is different and it changes every 24 hours
@vsonic867 ай бұрын
@@BobAquatic I never knew by just bouncing a Bucktail at the bottom, could cause a fish a strike?? I thought you have to swim the Bucktail at the bottom. Is there a recommendation to how many time you should bounce a Bucktail?
@BobAquatic7 ай бұрын
@@vsonic86 Keep in mind, your lure is representing a wounded bait fish. A bait fish with a broken fin falling to the bottom and trying to swim back up is natural. Try to put your headspace into mimicking bait fish not an exact retrieve or bounce. I believe in you

The bucktail is an amazing lure, so simple yet works so well. What trailer do you use?
