@@charlies_wasp it's not even plastic, it's just a film, hence the screen broke but the protector, which is supposed to be 9M rated glass adhered to a film layer so it'll only crack and not shatter

Here's the thing about medieval armor. A chestplate will stand up really good to most weapons. That's why people used big hammers, flails and clubs. A good armor might not break, but if it's tight enough the shock will still transfer through it into the internal organs and do damage that way. A helmet might be thick enough to survive some truly vicious blows, but those blows could still move around your head enough to cause a concussion. The armor might be impenetrable, just like the screen protector might help protect the screen really nicely, but the important internal parts still gets a good roughening up.

Not that I think you're trying to say this, but it should be mentioned that this does not mean armor is useless or bad. It just means that armor isn't perfectly invincible. A hammer to a helmet might cause a concussion, but a hammer to the bare head will cave your skull in.

@@twistedimagev2 It’s definitely a V2 or a V1, just took a look at my own oled, the Nintendo switch branding on the back is actually supposed to be on that full back stand, which would be on the lower half, whereas on his switch it’s the upper half.

I'm actually really surprised how well the screen held up. I definitely assumed the screen would have broken from a hammer blow. I don't suspect I'll ever need that kind of resiliance but holy moly that's actually very impressive. I’m a mom who have bought my kids Nintendo switches for Christmas over the years and even had to replace a few. They ended up talking me into purchasing an Oled of my own. So I’ve done a lot of research as far as games and accessories and most of it is from watching your channel. Let me tell you I love watching your videos and this one definitely did not disappoint. Unfortunately I have to admit that I did buy the grip ones for my boxing game and you’re so right when you said WHY. My favorite switch accessory is a stand that I bought at 5 Below back in 2018. It's just a simple fold out stand, wasn't even the full $5 I don't think. It's held up well and is even great for playing mobile games. Unfortunately they don't carry it anymore, nor have I found one from another brand that I like quite as much as this one.

I’m going to disagree, but for a very specific reason. Some of the office accessory tech stuff is decent. However, I LOVE the electronics… for my children. They get neat things that are quality enough for a child and I’m not pissed off or put out if it gets broken. Especially stuff like speakers.

Did you double check if your headset may need a splitter cable for mic audio? Also for the joycon wheel, there's a slot on the bottom of the cutout, you have to lift the joycon up from below to remove it. Even the official wheel has that design.

I actualy have the silcone cases for both the regular switch and switch lite, and the switch lite one is so much better. the grip part on the back is shaped to fit fingers, and it's really comfortable

when it comes to cheap tech you're actually better off with microUSB. while a properly made type-C cable is best, some stingy companies use the wrong parts that end up allowing too much power to go through the cable at once frying whatever you plug it into. microUSB however doesn't require those parts, so it's often safer unless you can trust the company that made the cable.

Almost sad you didn't get the Switch Lite case with the grips on the back! I got one after scoring a used Lite for dirt cheap and it's been pretty nice. I actually prefer it over the licensed cases I got for my kids' Lites. I keep looking at the Switch stuff whenever we go in, but now I think I'll stick with the case I already have and maybe a screen protector (though I won't hammer my Lite or my Switch 😅)

The reason why the joy-cons didn't click into the grip was because you inserted them backwards. The Left joy-con is supposed to go in the blue grip and the right joy-con is supposed to go in the red grip.

19:00 it actually had an hydrophobic coating. It was a translation error (probably intentional). That's neither water proof, nor water resistant. Shatter protection means it has a layer of transparent duct tape like plastic or rubber that prevents the shattered glass to fly off.

Wood, I'm pretty sure that was not your OLED. That looked like a V1 or V2 of the Original. (Note the bezel around the screen and the kick stand design.) That indestructable Screen Protector really was indestructable (Or at least highly resistant), but.....it basically acted as a suit of armor for the switch. Why do you think bludgeoning weapons were used against armored foes. Sure the armor may be fine, but the internal components (In a humans case their organs) Would still suffer damage. It is why Blunt weapons were so great

I recently got a Switch OLED since I drive a lot, and also wanted something that had good party games for when I see my nieces and nephew. I got 4 of those (same brand?) single joycon grips on Amazon. It was $11 for a 2-pack. Even at that price I was satisfied with the feel and the trigger buttons work just fine. And it's a snug fit but not hard to remove them from the grip. That was my only concern, as otherwise it's just a grip and all the regular buttons are used. But I do wish that I had known I could've gotten them at half the price at Five Below lol.
