Love the saddle! You can also use fine sandpaper on rough out leather. Cute blouse and I love how nice your hair looks .

As a fellow multi-discipline rider/driver, congrats on returning to your roots. Nice haul! A few things about the saddle- I use a latigo on both sides. It gives better adjustability and it's a Lot easier to adjust the buckle in one piece of leather than two. Latigos and stirrup hobbles, headstslls and reins all get a generous coating of neatsfoot oil before use. I have a pair of split reins from my first horse almost 30 years ago. They are still in use and I can literally wad them up and stuff in a pocket they are so pliable. No cracking or splitting anywhere and I haven't always given them the best care. I'm not a fan of BC saddles but that's just personal preference. If it's in good useable condition, it fits your horse and you're happy with it- Yay you! Did I miss the girth? Good Girl on the 5 Star pad! Like you said, they have done their research and it's on the website Why wool felt is the way to go. Sometimes we have to spend the money and buy nice things. Taking care of it, we get years and years of use out of them and when it comes down to cost per use- pennies.
