Big upgrade in capability for an old triton. 7.50R16 muddies, best thing i ever did to mine and i had a few of them. Eventually i went with 235x85R16, and the last one was on 33x10.5R15s as i built them bigger and bigger. But the 7.50r16s are the best bang for buck mod, and plenty of cruiser boys sell their factory road grippers off cheap...

Not sure if it works for snorkels, but when plastic truck mud guards are faded, you can bring back the shiny lustrous finish, just by heating them up with a heat gun $101 might get you a 2nd hand UHF?

It does work!! I started with a small jet lighter but it would have taken ages to do!! I actually have a plan for the UHF!

Nah I have spotties on my car and added two light bars, one on the tray and the other on the bar. I just ripped the harness apart and made do with that instead of making it all fancy as I already have a switch and I linked the relays together, your way definitely looks a lot better though

You should spray a few coats of raptor on the roof rack to stop it from rusting. Love the vids btw keep it up 🤙🏼

Raptor isn’t cheap and that’s the idea of this series. Just spray some rust protection in there to slow down the internal rusting on it or even some cooking oil, it works a treat. I put 2 pieces of steel outside and put cooking oil in one and it didn’t rust. And that’s in QLD

It would but also have to cut the top section off the bracket so it can slide down more! The light bar legit just fit under it too so that worked out well!!

I don't give a toss what anyone says about Kings gear, I'm in Alice Springs (from Brisbane) andI hadto tighten2 bolts on my Kings roof rack - loaded with a Kings clam-shell mk3 rtt on it. After doing the 3 corners, the Simmo, and a lap around Uluru, Kings Canyon, and the Mereenie area it's been the ducks nuts. Stuff the snobs!

How did you even find a duel-cab 4x4 for $2k? Was there anything mechanically wrong with it? What sort of km's does it have? In your opinion how many km's is too much for a diesel? I'm in the market for a duel-cab 4x4 that I can use for work as well as getting into 4wd'ing on the weekends but I'm struggling to find anything decent under 10-12k

There should be rubber bungs in the tube. Spray some lanolin in them. No rust.

I know its not within the budget but I wish you could have put Holley retrobright headlights on the Triton or at stuck with a old headlights with replaceable globes because you would of gotten better light output those eBay leds are so shit looking and light output is shit

Really not a tint spray fan. My opinion is its pretty tacky looking and can compromise peoples ability to observe your turning signals on the road which is where we all use our rigs majority of the time. Peoples driving can be dangerous enough without adding that into the mix. Also as you would of course be aware it's illegal in most places. Just doesn't seem worth getting pulled over for in my opinion. Other than that love the build and the channel in general, keep it em coming!

Thanks mate!! The tint spray is definitely a p plater mod haha!! I only done it to tie in the front end and I had some laying around!! The indicators on the car where disconnected and fitted to the bullbar so turn signal has stayed the same, although I don’t know why it was disconnected in the first place hah!
