8:33 It's not actually a triple dragons breath, those triple projectiles are actually fireballs. A while back they buffed 0-3-0 wizard to spit out 3 fireballs, and since archmage inherits the dragons breath, it inherits that change too.

The buff did help 520 more but both crosspaths have the dragons breath attack, and the loss of pierce on the main bolt and range overall hurts too much to pass. 502 is still preferred.

Lots of factors. Ofc getting 502 is playing by archmages strength but on the right map the fireball and wof offer situational sceram dmg and more consistency

Honestly, triple 27 damage fireballs is too much to pass up, and WOF is really decent with attack speed buffs. And since its such a buffable tower you are going to get outside came buffs anyway

You're not really getting a homeland/striker/mermonkey in your usual chimps run, especially on the harder maps. Sure, you got the nice dps increase from the wof and fireball, but you also lost a crap ton of cash trying to make up the loss of pierce. At that point, why even bother buffing archmage's piercd when you have the luxury to buy a more expensive wincon and be done with the run?

@PhenonIV 27 dmg fireball ONLY against moabs. What's archmages biggest weakness? Ceramics. It doesn't help nearly as much as your making it out to be I only mentioned it in my reply cause I thought 27dmg was universal, but it's not, which makes it sooo much worse

What's funny is that 3-0-1 has always been the objective worst path for the Wizard because while the high pierce is nice for the fact that the Arcane Spike spawns a bunch of red/blue bloons and it deals with that much easier, the fact is past round 80 the bolt moves TOO fast and you lose a substantial dps because the bolt will just miss and not utilize its entire pierce. Unless you put the wizard in a good spot or want to save money on camo detection then x-2-x is just better since you can pierce buff it anyway with Alch, Obyn, Striker, and both Mermonkey Top & bottom path

Why don't you use the mermonkey? It has two paths that give other towers pierce buff either with abyssal path or having the final harmonic with +3 pierce. Would this make even a difference?
