Honestly the biggest nerf with S3 was the map. S1 and S2 had superior maps with I felt like far more spots to hit and etc outside of object dropper and create a park. S3 map just always felt really underwhelming compared to what we had previously.

Nah. S3 has more space overall and it's better utilized. S1 and S2 have far too much flat empty street with literally nothing but curbs in sight in all directions and it really sucks having the entire world feel like it only plays in one direction like those games.

Holding down on the dpad to achieve true introvert status is one of the only things I wish s2 had. You can fast travel to any challenge or location in s1 too but not everyone seems to realise. It's sad that they gave us halo radars instead of proper mini maps after s1. I think one of the worst things we lost was the wobbly old lady in the floral dress w the hat that takes 45 to minutes to get back on her feet before you knock her down again. I never buy cosmetics but if I could skate as her I'd pay.

I hated that the map was cut into districts, I don't see a real reason why this couldn't have been just a normal open world like the previous 2 games, poor design choice. At first I though it would have been hardware limitations but there really wasn't any big technical advanced between Skate 2 and 3 so I don't think that is a valid excuse. Also create a park being in 30 fps is so hard to go back to a decade later, surely that could have been in 60 considering areas of some districts have a ton of structures and assets yet was 60 frames no problem.

Not to mention the fact that skate is the only game franchise I can really say looks worse with every entry. Skate 1 was lowkey angelic, skate 2 was also pretty beautiful, and them skate 3 just looks What. (time constraints lol) but i don’t even care, I love the look of skate 3

Skate absolutely objectively does not have better graphics than Skate 3. That is a reach and a half. Skate 1 has some weird green yellow filter and everything is hazy. Skate 3 is crystal clear down to the characters eyeballs. It has incredible graphics for a 2010 game.

amazing vid as always, sorry about the harddrive :( ... but something I loved about "skate it" for wii was the radio station where it would show what song was playing, although at the time my 9 year old self didnt give af, it would have been nice to see something similar in sk3. I hope with the new skate they really get some solid music deals (i mean it is EA) and have different stations that you can switch to sort of like GTA. Even cooler would be bringing in bands or artists to make their own radio stations (like motomami and soulwax fm in gta) that would continuously release over time. idk just music is such an integral part of video games AND skating as a whole, so if they cheap out on some royalty free ahh garbo i'm gonna be fucking pissed. also the ability to add sfx and music to replays within the game would be cool.

@@baggypop7536 gameplay is more of the possiblites that you can do as a player, the map is static. It can not influence how you go about skating, only to be there as an obstacle of enjoyment. If the map changed based on your skating or your actions, then it would be a gameplay feature.

Ik you said don't comment abt the hard drive. And ik this is gonna sound dumb... is it an external hard drive? Is it the USB port that's fucked? Ik I've got one on my pc that looks and, at first, seems fine but nothing functions. My PC was emergency stashed in storage for a couple months and condensation during winter caused one of the USB ports to develop tiny deposits of rust, which would then flake off. Probably a week after pulling it out and continuously using that same port, it permanently shit out on me. Still detects SOMETHING is plugged in (no matter what it is, eg: hard drive, mouse, bluetooth receiver, etc.) but it always has no actual function. My mouse will light up, but has no inputs (same w keyboard). Possibly a similar situation? Just a new thought process for you to pick at 💁‍♂️

The main thing that sucks about skate 3 is the Xbox version. The Ragdoll code bugged on any Xbox, and on ps3 the skate 3 Ragdoll feels more like skate 2. Both skate 2 and 3 use the same physics system for Ragdoll, and on skate 1, I’m not really sure, as haven’t played it all that much.
