definitely a different form of the buggy choke usually it’s done with just the arm and the foot but he’s cutting of the karata with his bottom hand as well

Yea they can take your back. Also watch out when the opponent on top starts to put pressure on your neck and head. Try to bail outta there before that happens.

Hear me out, I’m a SUPER white belt, but I hit this a couple times just throwing that first frame over the head and arm and grabbing the knee ditch. I seen it on the 10p qualifiers and so I tried it and that’s pretty much the easiest setup I’ve found. It’s not as tight though I don’t think. Maybe do a video over that? Once you do the frame and arm grabbing knee I'd just start going for your back by wrapping my legs under you and putting in the hooks, because at that beginning point of the buggy choke it's almost like a headlock

Thank you, Derelictbjj. Traditional buggy choke is hips facing and creating distance off theirs. This is reverse. This setup is closer to the flytrap, only youre not pulling your leg over for the triangle and trapping closest arm.

Funny story, my six-year-old does Jiu-Jitsu and they never taught him this move. He and I were rolling around for fun the other day and he got this on me and actually choked me. Happened just find this video and realize that he did this buggy choke on me without knowing what it was LOL

In my experience being a smaller guy, just be a bottom player cause it takes too much energy to get to and keep mount against guys that can easily bench your body weight

@@choccymilk8845 It depends on your height as well. You can be weaker, but if you have long legs, your guard it’s dangerous. Not so if you are small. Smaller guys have easier access to leg and heel hooks.

If you are inside sankaku (triangle) from topmount, you are pretty screwed. You can roll over, but then you are on the inside of the sankaku...instead in the guard 😂
