You and your videos are hugely inspirational, Heather. I entered my first 50k trail race this year and have another lined up for 2025, and seeing the effort and dedication you put in has really got me going! Best of luck for Black Canyon, you’ll smash it!

As someone running Black Canyon 100k and in a similar training block, these episodes are resonating with me. Been cross training a bunch on the bike, and I find myself hugely inspired by those close up shots of you in the pain cave. Keep crushing!

Thanks so much for sharing these training weeks with us! Whenever I think it's too cold where I live to get out for a run, I think about where you are out running (MUCH colder than my areas cold), and I don't have an excuse anymore!

My big goals next year are (1) Hellbender 100 (2) Grindstone 100 and (3) Looking Glass 100k. I’m coming back from injury and I remember being in a cast on the couch cheering you on at western states last year. Now, as I’m in a block for hellbender and giving it my all on the treadmill watching you is super inspiring. Keep them coming!

Love every minute of your vids...I almost thought Wattie was gonna get you puking today on the bike! 😆😁😇 The only negative is that they're sometimes too short. 🤣 Today I only had time to eat a snack while watching, lol! I agree that your consistent hard work is super motivating and your laugh, energizing! ❤God bless your inspiring journey, Megan 🙏👊🙏

Hi Heather What is your preferred hydration vest? Maybe share some technical details. Bottles, Packed weight, Bladders or not, Always watching. You keep me glued to this channel 🎉 Merry Christmas

I raced UTMB (CCC) in the new Hoka pack which will be available in 2025. Prior to the Hoka vest, I raced Western States in the Nathan Pinnacle FeatherLite 1.5 Liter which is a really nice pack. In terms of bottles both pack come with great bottles, so I was using the stock set up. I prefer the bottles over using a bladder. My UTMB vest packed with all of the required gear was approximately 5LBS.. and my goal for next year is to get the weight of that pack down. Not sure of the weight of my Western States belt, but it was much lighter without all the required UTMB gear, I'm going to guess about half, so 2.5LBS. Thanks so much for watching we really appreciate the support 🙏🙏🙏❤

@ nicely put. Tx HJ. Will definitely go online and look for that. I agree. The pack you wearing must become lighter. Given your size and your fitness level, you can win more of these UT. You have a great crew and great sponsors to your advantage, very few have. Maybe abuse them a little 😜. Just kidding. GL for your next race. Always watching

Heather what shoes do you use to run in the winter? Do you wear spikes? You have inspired me for years! In triathlon and I made the jump to Ultras with you. You inspire to take leaps that I never dared to. Thank you!

Mostly run in the Hoka Zinal 2 with the Vibram Mega Grip sole. I'll usually opt for the treadmill if its too icy outside 👌👌❤❤

What shoes are you favoring for snow, ice or slush? My normal Clifton’s are slipping and sliding all over.

Always liked watching you race in tri, bike and run .one question why do all ultra trail runners appear to try to run pb,s in every race and not just sit back in 2nd or 3rd until the last section which takes the pressure off and letting someone else set the pace.

Where do you run in Bend this time of year? I've mostly been to Bend when warmer and frequent Shelvin Park and Deschutes River Trail. Riley Ranch is on the list.

We live outside of Bend proper and have lots of great fire roads and trail running down in the area.
