Hi Josh, great video. At 12.20 on your video there appears to be more musket ball holes to the right of screen but on a different folly. Are you sure that is what they are or did someone get shot here as well?
@JoshDanielsHist3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your kind words! And can confirm they're not musket ball holes on Keppel's Column, just wear and tear on the old boy! The holes on Needle's Eye came from musket balls as there was evidence of Jacobite rebels being executed in the area 😊

Well done Joshua. The enthusiasm and information is there but don’t move your hands around so much. Everyone interested in this should try to read Black Diamonds , a no-holds-barred history of the Fitzwilliam family and Wentworth-Woodhouse.

The Needles Eye...famously created to the owner to prove that biblical saying...Matthew 19:24 "I'll say it again-it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of A needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!". So, it was proved that a rich man could pass by horse and cart through the Needle. It would have been better had he gotten a camel from the menagerie and rode it through!

The church is in the wentworth Woodhouse aka the palace same like in the capitol building in washing d.c and New York State. This is a cathedral the only place that gets an organ it also means the state of oregon and it means the oprah house in New York is a gothic cathedral as well as organs used in various sports games. Only the gothic church has oregons! Only! Like Buckingham Palace is a gothic palace!
