I really want a Finissimo. But this is half the price and like you said, only slightly thicker. Definitely a watch to consider. And the bracelet is gorgeous.

Just bought one 2020 with service records boxes, papers complete etc. $3,750 with all links mint. This watch competes head on with AP, GP, Piaget, IWC and other Genta-esq integrated bracelet design high end models for so much less. The quality and craftsmanship is superb with a great true in-house movement. Cartier Santos and other models are not as good IMHO. It is a future collectible piece.

We all love a Genta design. This is called Octo Roma. I am a fan of it. Bvlgari released an updated Octo Roma, with a matte waffle-style dial, with some small changes to the case and bracelet. The Octo Finissimo was a grail for a long time, which I still like a lot, until I tried the Octo Roma. It wears considerably smaller than the Finissimo and it has more presence. I prefer the weight of it compared to the Finissimo. Bvlgari does almost everything in-house, truly. The only ones with other movements are some chronographs, which have Zenith movements, or the entry-level ones, which have ETAs. Bvlgari does watches since 1918, but were outsourcing for most things until the 70s, when they became almost entirely in-house. True watchmakers. Beyond the great quality, you also get designs like nothing else. Cartier rarely does truly in-house movements, but many are indeed manufactured specially for them, most of the times with the help of Piaget or JLC.

It's actually not a roma. It's a solo tempo and it's great, I have it in 38mm rose gold two tone. You can't beat it for the price. I've owned a platinum president in the past and somehow this watch has a similar look combined with maybe a Santos. The model I bought for under 6k is now discontinued and can only find a handful available in the world for sale. It's a genta design updated by bvlgari. Imo this 41mm version is a bit large, the 38 fits exactly like a 40mm Rolex or AP. Either way a great watch at a reasonable price can't lose

Chris congrats man! I have had a sister watch of this - black dlc with rose gold accents - for about a year. I removed it from the rubber andnput on the leather strap. Looks amazing and I use it as a dressier/offoce piece. I have this bracelet from LVMH in my Zenith Defy 21 though. And yes it's amazing! BUT you really surprised me with the statement about a 38 mm version of this watch. Never heard of it. Are you sure you are not referring to Octo Roma series? They are indeed a little smaller and a little more rounded. BUT they are technically a different line as opposed to a smaller version of the same watch.

I tried on a titanium Finissimo at a Bulgari boutique and it was amazing. A highly underrated watch. I would, without a doubt take the Finissimo over the RO although I like the Nautilus a bit better. I think Bulgari doesn't get the respect it deserves because they are thought of as a jewelry brand.

Thanks for the review, I just inherited the same watch but with the leather strap. The case is scratched unfortunately however the movement is immaculate, on time for a watch that I suspect never had any maintenance. The original owner had it since 2012 or so and took it everywhere, even gardening, he doesn’t care if it’s a casio or an IWC or this Bulgari, his wife buys it and he doesn’t even know if it’s expensive or a beater 😢 anyway I’ll end up taking it to Bulgari for a ré-finishing, I’m just concerned I got something I can’t afford to maintain. Also the strap was destroyed so I’m now looking for a rubber one, metal is too expensive.
