I had some trouble following this episode. The dates on the screen and the dates the guy was writing in his diary didn’t match up. I kept wondering what happened to Robert’s when the sergeant was carrying him. It wasn’t until much later that it shows he died. Why the gap? Also, the medic (Henkel) was shown carrying a gun. Medics were not allowed to carry weapons. It would be nice if there was a list of characters (if they are consistent through out the episodes).

You know that this film tells audiences the last German counteroffensive towards United States troops positions in Belgium during the Second World War. The U.S. troops managed to drive back the German counteroffensive. The Germans slaughtered American prisoners of war in Malmedy. The Battle of the Bulge was also the bloodiest battle during WW2. Approximately 100.000 German soldiers and 76.000 GIs killed in action.
@Sintonizarproductions4 жыл бұрын
Also the hurtgen forest was the next bloodiest, we are going to make three films focused on that in the fall. Stay tuned.

You might want to review the tactical moves. These are modern ways to move around, not what soldiers used to do during WW2.

@stuartlawsonbeattie14114 жыл бұрын
In WW2 the GIs had their weopons raised, these are very recent tactical movements stemming from FIBUA, fighting in built up areas. If the army were to raise their weopons like that in every patrol, they would have biceps bigger than Arnie Schwarzenegger and they would be permanently knackered.. When the patrol was decimated the unit would never have gone forwards, they would have retreated to find other emplacements. The speeches are not effective as they are just spoken like a shopping list with no passion, integrity or grit. I don't think chubby would have been front line and as with Hollywood, when schmeissers, MG34 and MG42 are rattling away, they would not have stood a chance, they would have had mulitiple wounds and would have died there. The trenches did not resemble trenches at all. Even rookies would have done better, fieldcraft is pityful. Hope you had fun, thanks.
@Sintonizarproductions4 жыл бұрын
Thanks yeah we did have fun when we made this 2 years ago. Itd got a lot of errors we know this. Luckily we've learned from our past films and are in the process of creating a film focused on the 1st ID during the battle of hurtgen forest. We just need a few more m41 jackets and one of our members to get back from his deployment so we can start filming. Thanks for the critiques though They help us grow as filmakers and allow us to better our historical accuracy.

Normally, these are awesome. This one's pretty bad. I know soldiers improvised in combat, and didn't go full reg in uniform, but the dude in the white helmet cover just looks like he's wearing olive drab Dicky trousers and some Wolverine boots... almost none of the "GI"s have the distinctive canvas leggins that pretty much defines the look of the American soldier, even in the Bulge campaign.
