Update (28/08/2021): All information reported in this video aligns with what has been reported on all mainstream media outlets (SBS, KBS, MBC, CNN, ABC, BBC, Korean Herald, Korean Times etc.), and you can see the sources I obtained this info from at the top right hand corner of the screen. However, I have also received several comments from Seungri's fans believing that the trial against him had been unfair, as alleged transcripts of the trials show that all 32 witnesses actually denied Seungri's involvement in all of his crimes. At the time of filming, I was debating whether or not to include this info, but ended up not doing so, because these transcripts had not been officially verified/ published by the Korean court system (most were obtained from Naver News), and this piece of information also hadn't been reported on by most major news stations (I only saw this reported on 3 news websites in total), so I was quite skeptical. However, looking back, I think I should have still at least mentioned these transcripts in order to provide a more nuanced view of the situation. I am unfortunately unable to re-film this video due to contractual obligations, but here are some sources that support Seungri's innocence (these are the ones most commonly sent to me by viewers). Feel free to look through them and come to your own conclusions: - Transcripts from Seungri's court hearings (Source: Naver): - twitter.com/poutyvip5lines/status/1307290920354820103 - twitter.com/poutyvip5lines/status/1245267139956748289?s=19, - Article pointing out the fact that witness testimonies support Seungri (Source: Business Mirror): businessmirror.com.ph/2020/12/15/prosecution-witnesses-testimonies-favor-seungri/ - Summary of witness testimonies (Source: Allkpop): www.allkpop.com/article/2021/01/all-witnesses-denied-seungri-involvement-saying-police-tried-to-force-them-against-seungri-1610850051 Seungri's appeal is currently underway, so if the court proceedings were indeed unfair, then I definitely look forward to seeing him get acquitted so that he may clear his name once and for all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What are your thoughts on each person's sentence? @mridusmitadas77933 жыл бұрын
@@shannoncleodaniels Firstly my only motive here was pointing out how unreliable such yt video is. She made a whole video on Burning Sun but ain't even clear with the incident that started the Scandal. And yes, there are very clear evidence against JJY and CJH there are victims, rape videos , chats and they pleaded guilty. Yoo in seok is in probation for 3 years for prostitute mediation. And Seungri you really gotta see the kind of evidence court has against SEUNGRI. It's funny tbh. Most are assumptions. They even took a media article as an EVIDENCE and denied all 30+ legal testimonies by saying they are unreliable which were in favour of Seungri. Yoo in seok commited the crime and judge said there is no way Seungri didn't know. Yes, this is one of the cited reason for the Verdict too🥲 And spending 30 million won for his birthday is like admitting to prostitutionaccording to the judge where family was present too. My point is yes no one is completely innocent but in this case one person is made more guilty than he really is because you know what majority believes becomes the truth meanwhile Sex abuser like Kim Sangkyo who has VICTIMs and lied is free. Jonghyun is free who saw rape videos and passed vulgar comments. Reason : people don't care about them because their names are not big enough. Also it would have been better if the youtuber mentioned how 30+ witnesses denied his involvement. How come she skipped such important part ?!🥲

There is zero concrete evidence that is available to the public (alongside accurate translations) that would make this case clear. Plus the fact that it is taking over two years it is most definitely dodgy as heck. Ever heard of confirmation bias? To me it feels like this is a huge case of confirmation bias and also an attempt to cover up the actual issue by throwing in a celebrity under the bus. All I know is that I trust absolutely no one, I'm neither with or against Seungri all I'm seeing and feeling is that something really odd is up not only because of the scandal itself but also because of the way people reacted.

There were no casualties in the BS scandal. The victims were in videos shared by JJY and Kim in chat rooms. JJY's ex-girlfriend was collecting signatures for a petition to the Blue House - she wanted the police to investigate her case again. In 2016, she accused JJY of secretly filming. But she withdrew the allegations: “I want to take this opportunity to clarify what happened due to the misunderstandings that exist even 5 years after the incident. The biggest reason why I dropped the charges was because, after consulting my lawyer, we came to the conclusion that due to the lack of evidence, I could very well find myself charged for false accusations.” “I was also about to graduate from college. I thought it was dangerous to put myself at risk of a record with a famous celebrity before entering society.” Of course, she did not collect the required 200,000. signatures because few people care about the victims. It's funnier to accuse the famous idol of things he didn't do.

I'm such a proud patron 💖

Why don't kpop stans talk about this ? This is a good reminder that these Idols are just putting on a facade, we don't really know what's happening behind the scenes

Not just idols, all celebrities keep up a facade why are you isolating them as if idols are a different type of celebrities
@moonlight-im8ik3 жыл бұрын
@@myouniverse0613 i'm talking about kpop idols in my comment. Everyone already knows that celebrities are fake, but kpop stans still think that their idols are angels

@@moonlight-im8ik And you think western celebrity stans don't?? Um.

woa I've been hearing about this issue for a long time but it's the first time that I actually get to understand what it really is and i'm telling you, it's so messed up. Prxstitution, rxpe, hidden cameras, gxmbling, embexzlement, drxgs, and many other cases. I'm so surprised that some fans still have the guts to defend him. Edit: i also think they definitely deserve longer jailtime.

20% of ownership and involvement by employes from yg. Yeah, no way Seungri didn't know about any of this

CONTROVERSY? Let’s not minimize this by calling it that. This is NOT a “controversy”. (Just as normal dating of adult kpop idols is not a “scandal”).

What the hell, rape but only sentenced 5 years. Embezzlement, drug related crime and human trafficking only sentenced for a year, the longest is 3 years. So I see the rich person in S.Korea only had light punishment.

And about Seungri Human trafficking wasn’t one of the charges It’s prostitution meditation and prostitution-about him knowing his business partners were hiring prostitution. The judge assumed he knows about his business patners doing .they got no evidence actually that they hired them. The prostitutes all denied them being hired by him. The prostitutes testified in court that mister yoo was one The Who brought them and hired them. Mister yoo actually bring those prostitutes in parties,there like escorts. It’s actually funny Seungri gotten more sentence than the ones hiring the prostitutes His business partner only received one year and 3years probation .

I agree with Molka case JJY ,CJH,HEO,KIM,KWON should have gotten more,they are accused of gang rape,and filming and drugging women .
@luna7403 жыл бұрын
The sentences are ridiculous, it’s not even a punishment… So you’re telling me most of them are free now?

The time everyone will spend in jail should be WAAAAY more. Sad to see Korean justice failed in many aspects. And that some people defending that person still leaves me speechless, the guy has 9 crimes (that we know of) on his back.

i'm a VIP since 2012. at first, i was in denial because the court haven't made their verdict but evidences are clear as day. i doubt he's sorry seeing that he refuses to atone for his wrongdoings by spending time in jail. 3yrs is nothing compared to what the victims went through, majority of VIP's are women. how can he treat women like they're toys and even do prostitution? even if he managed to appeal, his reputation is already tarnished and he has no career to return to. he should just let himself go to jail and serve his sentence. i hope he should reflect and change for the better

I am glad to see a non delusional VIP. Some still defend him. It’s crazy how he used gramma check error as an excuse.

Same. I'm a VIP since 2008 and thought it was a character assassination plot because of what other VIPs were reporting about it but boy was I wrong. He definitely is showing no remorse. How shameful!

Yeah, he has already been convicted, but some delusional fans are still supporting him like their lives depend on it
