Update (28/08/2021): All information reported in this video aligns with what has been reported on all mainstream media outlets (SBS, KBS, MBC, CNN, ABC, BBC, Korean Herald, Korean Times etc.), and you can see the sources I obtained this info from at the top right hand corner of the screen. However, I have also received several comments from Seungri's fans believing that the trial against him had been unfair, as alleged transcripts of the trials show that all 32 witnesses actually denied Seungri's involvement in all of his crimes. At the time of filming, I was debating whether or not to include this info, but ended up not doing so, because these transcripts had not been officially verified/ published by the Korean court system (most were obtained from Naver News), and this piece of information also hadn't been reported on by most major news stations (I only saw this reported on 3 news websites in total), so I was quite skeptical. However, looking back, I think I should have still at least mentioned these transcripts in order to provide a more nuanced view of the situation. I am unfortunately unable to re-film this video due to contractual obligations, but here are some sources that support Seungri's innocence (these are the ones most commonly sent to me by viewers). Feel free to look through them and come to your own conclusions: - Transcripts from Seungri's court hearings (Source: Naver): - twitter.com/poutyvip5lines/status/1307290920354820103 - twitter.com/poutyvip5lines/status/1245267139956748289?s=19, - Article pointing out the fact that witness testimonies support Seungri (Source: Business Mirror): businessmirror.com.ph/2020/12/15/prosecution-witnesses-testimonies-favor-seungri/ - Summary of witness testimonies (Source: Allkpop): www.allkpop.com/article/2021/01/all-witnesses-denied-seungri-involvement-saying-police-tried-to-force-them-against-seungri-1610850051 Seungri's appeal is currently underway, so if the court proceedings were indeed unfair, then I definitely look forward to seeing him get acquitted so that he may clear his name once and for all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What are your thoughts on each person's sentence? Oh also, the graphics took me ages to make, but I hope they worked out well!!

But technically their sentencing was too generous. I hate the fact that their crimes were minimised and weirdly sugarcoated . Like what they did was horrible and their sentencing was so small. Their status as celebrities let them evade a much bigger consequence that's would've been faced by a normal person who is NOT a celebrity. It's so frustrating like pay some money and take a few yrs. It doesn't compensate for the victims. This is definitely not justice.

@@antarabhide7916 Accusation of embezzlement: Witness A, monkey museum CEO, testified that Seungri had no involvement in MM operation and revealed about Monkey Entertainment that was a financially independent entity. there were two different embezzlement charges in ri's case. one involved embezzlement from burning sun (from what i read it sounded like they felt he used his influence to overcharge bs for his branding fee). the other was embezzlement with monkey museum which was that he used yuri holdings company funds for monkey museum ,outside of what was supposed to be used for it. this trial was basically the witness saying it was ri's personal money so it's not a case of embezzling from the company. And the food sanitation SR did violate Food Sanitation Act for registering Monkey Museum club as restaurant for lower tax but MM already received criminal punishment (paid fine) back in 2016 and made changes accordingly.(it’s was clearly a violation which he admitted in 2016 and paid the fine) What I mean about theirs no illlegal activity,, It was confirmed that there were no reports of sex crimes at the Monkey Museum. @@shannoncleodaniels Firstly my only motive here was pointing out how unreliable such yt video is. She made a whole video on Burning Sun but ain't even clear with the incident that started the Scandal. And yes, there are very clear evidence against JJY and CJH there are victims, rape videos , chats and they pleaded guilty. Yoo in seok is in probation for 3 years for prostitute mediation. And Seungri you really gotta see the kind of evidence court has against SEUNGRI. It's funny tbh. Most are assumptions. They even took a media article as an EVIDENCE and denied all 30+ legal testimonies by saying they are unreliable which were in favour of Seungri. Yoo in seok commited the crime and judge said there is no way Seungri didn't know. Yes, this is one of the cited reason for the Verdict too🥲 And spending 30 million won for his birthday is like admitting to prostitutionaccording to the judge where family was present too. My point is yes no one is completely innocent but in this case one person is made more guilty than he really is because you know what majority believes becomes the truth meanwhile Sex abuser like Kim Sangkyo who has VICTIMs and lied is free. Jonghyun is free who saw rape videos and passed vulgar comments. Reason : people don't care about them because their names are not big enough. Also it would have been better if the youtuber mentioned how 30+ witnesses denied his involvement. How come she skipped such important part ?!🥲

There is zero concrete evidence that is available to the public (alongside accurate translations) that would make this case clear. Plus the fact that it is taking over two years it is most definitely dodgy as heck. Ever heard of confirmation bias? To me it feels like this is a huge case of confirmation bias and also an attempt to cover up the actual issue by throwing in a celebrity under the bus. All I know is that I trust absolutely no one, I'm neither with or against Seungri all I'm seeing and feeling is that something really odd is up not only because of the scandal itself but also because of the way people reacted.

I vaguely kept up with the scandal unfolding at the time so I think you did a great summarising the connections and what happened without really dwelling on the horrid details like some crime coverage can be. You know like "and this is a scrap of hair, this is the alleyway etc" I suppose that's what it's like when the whole picture hasn't been uncovered so they focus on every minute detail. It was kinda grotesque and traumatic how much detail can be in the articles so yeah good video Evangeline!

There were no casualties in the BS scandal. The victims were in videos shared by JJY and Kim in chat rooms. JJY's ex-girlfriend was collecting signatures for a petition to the Blue House - she wanted the police to investigate her case again. In 2016, she accused JJY of secretly filming. But she withdrew the allegations: “I want to take this opportunity to clarify what happened due to the misunderstandings that exist even 5 years after the incident. The biggest reason why I dropped the charges was because, after consulting my lawyer, we came to the conclusion that due to the lack of evidence, I could very well find myself charged for false accusations.” “I was also about to graduate from college. I thought it was dangerous to put myself at risk of a record with a famous celebrity before entering society.” Of course, she did not collect the required 200,000. signatures because few people care about the victims. It's funnier to accuse the famous idol of things he didn't do.

I do feel like he was used as the scapegoat. As disappointing as it sounds he probably got it worse because his crimes were more around making a fool of business if that makes sense like the tax short cut by registering the club as a restaurant. Basically I feel he got it worse because he was the most famous and most of his crimes vasically made the government look stupid while the others were sexual crimes against people so they didn't care as much.

Him being "guilty" of the prostitution charge is ridiculous even the judge said he's going to ignore the 32 witnesses statements because he believes seungri knew and did all the crimes and conspired with Yoo even though Yoo the one who did the crime said Seungri didn't do it aswell as 32 other witnesses coming out and saying that it was Yoo who did it/ gave them their orders and not Seungri. A couple of witnesses even said that the police practice coercion to get them to speak against Seungri and even twisted their words which the told the judge when they went on the stand under Oath. The judge is implying 32 witnesses lied under Oath which is perjery which is a criminal offense so I would love to know when the judge is going to tri those 32 witnesses for perjury.

She posted an apology letter online. There is a video of KIM SANGKYO attacking police official first and then he was beaten up. There are multiple complaints against KIM SANGKYO by multiple women for sexual harassment. He put false allegations to save his ass. This video is misleading. Do your own research. It boils my blood seeing people treating a sex abuser like an hero. And he is roaming freely right now.

The prostitutes testified in court that mister yoo was one The Who brought them and hired them. Mister yoo actually bring those prostitutes in parties, there like escorts.
