One Direction got put together at the X factor 2010. They were like between 16-18 at the time. The members are Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn. Zayn left 2015 and later that year the band pretty much broke up. Now everyone has their own solo career. If I would recommend someone to look more into it would definitely be Harry. I really like it solo stuff, you should look at some of his live performances. Other then that you should also look more into One Direction, especially live performances!

I am 45 years old and fairly new to One Direction fandom, but LOVE them! I first got turned onto them after hearing and falling in love with Harry Styles' solo stuff. I fell into the trap of assuming they were a typical teenage boy band. That couldn't be further from the truth! Their last three albums are amazing and are more of a rock, even classic rock vibe. Niall Horan is also incredible and has 2 solo albums. I am now a huge fan! Check out the live from San Siro concert videos. They give a stadium rock band type experience! I was bummed I missed out for so long!

My favourite voice is Liam’s. He’s considered to be an A rated vocalist. He led on the most one direction songs, around 36 out of just over 90 songs. He also sang the most harmonies and backing vocals, especially in live performances. He’s really talented.

They were together for 5 years before going on 'hiatus'. But Zayn actually left in the middle of tour March 25th, 2015. They continued on with tour and put out another album without him. Each boy has a solo career. Harry and Niall both have 2 albums out and have each toured the first. Their second albums came out and both of them are suppose to be on tour right now but with the Covid stuff they can't. Louis and Liam both have an album out too. Louis was suppose to be on tour too right now. Zayn put out 2 albums but has never toured.

some awesome songs and performances because id like to see you become a directioner hehehe: Right Now - San Siro live perfomance (there was a HUGE fan project) Night Changes (just a great song) Drag Me Down (lets get it to 1B) Best Song Ever funniest video (script for that was written by James Corden) Little Things (great video but live is even better) Over Again (very funny if there are lyric changes or silly dances) Happily acoustic You And I, Ready To Run and Midnight Memories for great vocals while being very catchy What Makes You Beautiful and History for the first to the song that wraps it up for now :/ You could always watch their xfactor auditions, because thats how they were formed, they werent considered good enough on their own and were on their way home after getting out of the competition but Simon Cowell asked for them to come back and put them together as a band Maybe you could check out some lyric changes because they are very funny (gotta be you is a great song for lyric changes) or an unhelpful introduction to one direction :) great video i loved it :)

Zayn's voice is great, but if you grew up listening to country music, his solo music will be your least favorite from the 5 of them. He has some bold choises when it's about music videos and sometimes pg-rated lyrics. Sadly, he stopped performing live due to his anxiety. I think he never had a solo concert. And never went for a solo tour, either. The fist who started out the song is Harry Styles. His voice has a beautiful, rich tone. Arguably he had the star qualities from day one. Harry is a very good singer, songwriter and excellent stage performer. He has songs in many genre, including county. He sang a duet with Kasey Musgraves, they won an award for performing a Shania Twain-song. As Harry never wrote a bad song, basically anything you'll listen to first from his solo stuff will be a good choise. His biggest hit to date (interestingly his first ever solo song) is "Singn of the Times". From his new album I recommend "Cherry" or "Adore you" to get to know him. Niall (the blond guy with the huge smile) is more into folk rock. He is a genuinely nice person, a down-to-earth guy. I recommend "Slow hands" from his first album and "Black and white" from his new one. Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne are also successfull, but I think they got more love from old 1D fans and so far could not earn as many new fans with their solo music as the others. Eventhough they both have a couple of songs which worth to listen to.

Not everyone agrees that Zayn has the best voice. I think Harry does. His vocal tone is beautiful, and since leaving the band he has increased his range by almost an octave and a half, and also improved his control and technique.
