+John Sandaver I think he really loves the girl. But the girl thought that he's lying and he knows that would be the mindset of the girl. See the past tense LOVED? He's trying to make a convo and say to the girl what if I told you I loved you? Meaning he loved her before. But the girl wouldn't believe that cause she thinks it's a lie. And the second verse he said that he's not the type that lies but he might start tonight. Tonight that he'll try to start that question and wait for her answer. But the truth is he didn't LOVED her. He still LOVES her and that's the part he means that he might lie tonight. He'll lie that he loved her but he still does love her. ;)
