October 9, 2006 - The Cactus Train Collision - A BNSF coal train entered an open switch on a spur track and collided with a stationary train. Both crewmen received minor injuries. Like the Kismet collision, it too was captured on video. [8]

Heres the story:2006 a bnsf local was heading its way to cactus texas to drop off there daily cut of cars into a siding.The brakemen gets out and switches the switch then lets the train go by then he goes back in the cab.But the switch was still set to the siding....Aboit 3 hours later a bnsf train 5942 was heading ITs way to another part of cactus texas but heres where the train crash comes in bnsf 5942 starts going into the siding the crew slams there emergency brakes and hopes for there life.... bnsf 5942 hit a couple of covered hoppers and a few others went off the rails (tank cars centerbeam cars etc.) crew was very injured and was rushed to the ER.all engines involved including 5942 was repaired and put back into service.

When the train hit into the fright cars the train fell on the ground and pushed offed to the side and the white loco behind hit didn’t have much damage the driver of the train that hit the freight cars got out and went to the white loco and called 9111
