I didn't get it right. So, if you belong to a minority adopted by progressivism, is it okay if you kill and hide the body of someone with a drinking history and a criminal history? He killed someone and then left the body to rot. Didn't the victim's family have a right to know what happened and arrange a funeral? The body was only discovered because the KILLER died, what if he hadn't? If he had concerns about how he would be remembered, KILLER.

@@mestreg5687 *It's not that you didn't get it it's that you fake getting something else.* The OP only said he was giving zero fuck for a killed person if this person was a rapist. Nothing to do with the killer belonging to a minority making it more okay or anything close so...
@mestreg5687
@mestreg5687 4 жыл бұрын
@@juliencastle2953 So ... I think I saw another video, the one that makes excuses for the murderer and blames the victim without a fair trial, just assuming that the murderer deserves what he received. Just by shooting him in the head, you can't even identify if there was a fight or the victim was given the right to defend himself. Fear of "persecution" does not justify what has been done. And, by the way, he had already served time. And the murderer, when did he serve his time? The video sentence was not "So it's speculated in an act of self-preservation and survival she just wrapped the body, hid it, and try to forget about it. And if you think about it, whether Corey knew Woley or not, her reasons for not reporting the death are likely to be the same."? How it can be more permissive? Even though there was a fight, it was not a helpless woman defending herself from a man presumably much stronger, it was a fight between two men. And another thing, from a lawyer, usually shot in the head without excoriations on the attacker and with the killer hiding the body means one thing, an execution.

@@mestreg5687 So... That's under this other video you should have been commenting that. Again, the comment you answered to didn't say it was more okay cause the killer belonged to a minority or anything remotely close. I agree with you that we don't know what happened ( nobody does right now actually ) and that therefore we shouldn't call it either a murder or self-defense cause we can't verify any of both but please don't tell random person "Excuse me, so it's okay to do that if you're a minority?" when they're not saying that at all...

That seems like the most likely scenario to me as well. What I don't get is why, regardless of the situation, would you keep the body for 20 years? Surely in that time there was an opportunity to dispose of it carefully. @@Tyger20 good question but the body was heavy so she would have needed help from people she could trust a 100% who also had a car, even tho, that doesn't shield you from nosy neighbors or by passer who would call the police on her ( because sometimes prejudiced people just wait for an opportunity to do so, like the one who call the cops on black kids for just playing outside) I guess in the end leaving it where it was felt the safest to her....

It's surprisingly common for people who have killed to keep the bodies in their homes. Part of it is to just be sure that you know where it is and who has access to it. A trans woman would be at a huge disadvantage with the law, so even the most solid self-defense argument wouldn't help her; it'd make sense to try to maintain control over it as much as she could.

Hi. Any chance of a video discussing what happened to the remains of the firefighters who responded to the Chernobyl explosion first? Lead caskets* And the cement wasn't immediate. They were buried in it after the athorities realized how dangerous was the radiation level emmanating from the bodies. Radiation liquidifies people, so I don't expect that, when they can exhumated (if they ever are) there is something remaining there. As a special note: it wasn't just the firefighters, military men in there, plant workers, ambulance workers. Are buried like them. Not sure about the doctors who treated them in Pripyat, but between being so close to the Lenin and the contact with contaminated people, it could be possible some of them ended up the same way.

Daniel RP I'm aware, I am trans- in the past there was less distinction though, most first person accounts I see from trans people during that time include a strong mingling, when full time transition was less of a viable goal, drag was a form of self expression and many drag queens did identify as transgender later down the line- Dorian Corey specifically was a woman and my comment was specifically referring to Kaitlin gendering her correctly and treating her story with nuance and respect instead of sensationalizing her experience

I'm willing to bet those often quoted "trade secret" solutions are often something simple like super glue/shelack/hair spray etc. But they always want to keep it a secret because if the general public found out it was something so simple or harmful/distasteful that they would get criticized for it.

I was thinking that it's probably hair spray; it's one of those things they recommend to help get stains out of clothes. Buy the cheapest Dollar Store brand; the one that's filled with lacquer. Spray liberally on a stain; wait for it to harden (it separates the material fibres); pretreat; then wash. It probably stretches and hardens dessicated skin.

It must have been 1 second or less for her to connect the dots between a clothing bag you could estimate weighing as much as an adult and the horrific smell you could only get from something dead. And in that second or so made the decision to not look inside and instead hightail it out of there and call the police.

doesn't take away from her reputation? Hell, I'd speculate that it added to it. She took out an abuser or robber, and likely knowing just how much crap she'd get for reporting it, just shelved him in the "somebody else's problem" spot in her closet. The fact there was no great outcry about the disappeared guy says a lot about how much people thought of him in the first place.

I first watched this video a while ago, but it has stuck with me so hard. I can't imagine how trapped someone like Dorian must have felt in such a situation, having been a person who belonged to a marginalized community in a number of ways. Even going to the police in 2022, who knows what would have happened to her? And the fact that she told her friends to shop her closet seems significant- it makes me wonder if she wanted them to find the body, like maybe she had been holding in a lot of guilt all those years but just didn't know how to tell anyone, even her closest friends. For them to find it first, before police or neighbors or whoever, they had the opportunity to consider Dorian as a person into the equation when deciding how to handle it. An average stranger or law enforcement going in there first, could have easily erupted into an opportunity for more negative propaganda about how people from Dorian's community were considered to be "degenerates" or "a bad influence to society" or whatever they used to say about anyone outside of the cishet white "wholesome family" ideal. "Goodness, think of the children!" and all that sort of thing. I don't think it's cool to kill anyone, so I'm not trying to defend that aspect of it, but I mean this definitely sounds like a case where a vulnerable person was kind of backed into a corner figuratively by society, and possibly literally by Bobby- he may have been trying to kill or severely injure her in her apartment after having an argument or something, and maybe she shot in self-defense, unfortunately we'll probably never know the whole story.

Thank you so much for your sensitive handling of this one. Especially with things the way they are in the UK and US for trans people at the moment, it would be all too easy for people to make something sensational and almost "blame" being trans for the murder. Acknowledging that the attitudes toward LGBT people, (especially trans BIPOC) actually made things harder and more complex is so important and a much more nuanced look at things.

I really want to see a video about Queen Victoria. The woman so consumed with death... grief... and memorialization that it ushered in a whole new era where socially accepted death obsession reigned supreme. No modern generation was more obsessed with death then the Victorians! She had a picture of her husband taken in their marrital bed AFTER he died and then hung that picture of his dead body over his side of the bed where she slept next to it clutching one of his bed shirts until the day she died. 2019 also marks the 200th anniversary of her birth... Which Brits are celebrating as we speak.... so it's topical! She was in deep mourning for decades... and she obviously was in need of mental health counseling for grief... Something unheard of in her time that could have vastly changed her life.... Mental health acceptance is also topical... Just an idea from my cat....

As "Paris is Burning" and drag in general has enjoyed such a renaissance over the last few years, it never ceases to amaze me whenever I see the legend of Dorian Corey's infamous wardrobe discovery referenced, be it in a fictionalized plot line of "Pose" or in the archives of your magnificent channel! While I can't say it's been a flattering story for all the rest of us drag performers, it has at the very least served us well as a cautionary tale for the dwindling number of people out there who foolishly continue to underestimate a queen's ability to defend themselves. Thank you for always being an advocate for the more glittery underside of society! xoxox

"I Would listen to a true crime podcast hosted by this guy" I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm like this guy needs his own show. He sounds great lol

Girl, you're a trip! Just found your channel this week. Shared one of the videos with my daughter in Iowa! She loves you! She's been a "deathling" most of her life (which is probably quite a while before you started). She loves your work! I find the work thought provoking. You make me aware of stuff I never thought of before. Thanks 😊👍

Hi! Trans gal here and a big fan. I’ve watched you for a little while but am just now watching this. Thank you for how you approach talking about our community, even with things like this. Most are quick to assume the worst out of us and make us all out to seem like terrible people; this doesn’t do that. So thank you.

I've been watching your videos for quite a few years. I've always had a morbid fascination I guess. My partner was suddenly killed in July and knowing what happens and what to expect has honestly helped a tonne. I just wanted to thank you for this channel and for sharing your knowledge. You've helped me in the hardest time of my life

This is an amazing story. I ADORE Dorian Corey and can't imagine that anything she did was illegal -- but rather, self preservation. She was an amazing person and the most entertaining celebrity of her time and place. Rest in Peace, Dorian. You were a treasure!

Would you maybe do a video about Venus Xtravaganza? She was always prominently featured in Paris Is Burning and was murdered while the documentary was still being filmed
