@@konkeydong5455 I wanna tell you a story. One day, he'll know, and he'll have all this footage to remind himself of it. Trust me, I was that passionate about my facial expressions too - I was as big into show choir as I was into drumline, and in show choir, you can actually have the most over-the-top facial expression to wow the judges. But there is a limit that I didn't learn. I _expressed_ the fuck out of every move, twirling around smiling with my gape open just like this guy. Like _this fucking dance move is gonna ROCK YOUUUUUU HIYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH HEE HEEEEEE."_ My first love left me a month after our rehearsal performance for the school. It literally embarrassed her. I looked so fucking stupid, that everyone laughed at me, and then my girlfriend left me. At the time I thought it was the most shallow bullshit and they just didn't understand passion for art. But now? I can't watch the footage anymore because it just shows me making the most over-the-top expressions and I cringe out of existence. I GET IT, your facial expressions show you are the most passionate about your craft, but it doesn't always transfer. Sometimes you just look fucking dumb. Drumlines were historically stoic. Let's ease into the whole show choir expressions thing, hey?

It's so strange how the Aungst kid sticks out from the rest of the snareline because he keeps doing the weird Dartmouth WGI stuff with his head and facial expressions on accents and hits. Maybe get with the rest of the program even though your dad wrote the beats? Kooky.

I think even if he goes overboard with it it’s great. They are all music “performers” and performing is a part of their job. I’m not sure where your experience is from but I’d hope that if you had a show like this one you wouldn’t look stone cold. I see 0 reason to hate on a kid for selling the show.

@@rileygee Yeah, unless he's performing the role of "bro coming out of bathroom after several rails of coke", his faces make no sense. However, I don't think he's the one to blame. Obviously, he's been encouraged by the designers who think this type of community theatre overacting is necessary.
