I remember only being 17 or 18 when I first saw this and only have 2 years worth of marching experience(junior and senior year hs band) before starting WGI and DCI in 2013 and heard this line and I couldn’t really comprehend what I was seeing or hearing, I just knew it was badass. Fast forward 11 years, world class WGI experience, DCI and WGI educator and knowing what I know now, I just watched this and laughed my fucking ass off because of how ridiculously clean it is and hearing that “tone” or ring from that beautifully perfect snare tuning and the absurdity of a muted 8” gock shot which had me in tears and said “OH!” at the exact same time as the dude in the video. This brings me joy.
