Hands down this is the best video I’ve ever seen on the topic. Love the dots! Thank you for doing all of that.

Thank god for that. Everyone talks about the positions and shapes without saying why those notes fit over the respective chords. Another ‘aha’ moment. Thank you for your time making this. Subbed.

Great to see you again, Kevin! As always, you knocked it out of the park. This is easiest , best CAGED explanation I've seen to date as I've seen countless CAGED system vids which are word salads and hard to follow. Those dots and graphics are key for those who are visual learners, and for beginners. As a former video editor, I can honestly say your videos are well done. Please keep up the great work! And remember, consistenty is key for a growing channel. Peace.

Dude, I'm a 56 year old learning guitar. This is best explanation of this I have seen. You just made me have a major break through with the idea of how the notes move up and down the neck.
@AlmightyJoatsАй бұрын
Before this video, I thought the Caged system was the phenomenon that takes place when you go afk leaving your computer unlocked, which creates the perfect opportunity for a malicious third party to install the browser extension that replaces all images with the face of Nicholas Cage. Thanks for the clarification, Kevin!

I am feeling CAGED. Just kidding. I love bar cords. I like TABs and fret board diagrams of your finger placements. I understand we are using their shapes but your fingers looked like they were in a different position when you played the CAGED G or C.
@damienpenglinАй бұрын
might be a stupid question. how did you know to use the a minor pentatonic to accompany the C & F strumming pattern? What if the song was C, AM, F then G. Do you have a video on rules to follow or advice on how to solo, using the scales we learnt to songs?
@HauptstufeАй бұрын
If you are soloing in a minor scale, is it typical to lift the 6th and 7th to make it melodic, or does this only make chord matching more difficult when it comes to arpeggios?
@Susantoo6Ай бұрын
ans how about CAGED system for minor chord? like cm, dm, etc
@fly6uyrob85427 күн бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong but when playing in the C chord on the 5th fret did you mean to add the blue dot on A? If so could you kind of explain why? I figure it's because its in the scale of a minor but then that kind of confuses me if your trying to play in the chord of C. Great video btw! helped clear up a lot of questions I had.
