The Cajun Fiddle is song by Don Rich, fiddler with the Buckaroos. In this fiddle lesson I teach the tune, and then analyse the individual elements, all of which are useful in creating generic Cajun fiddle parts. In particular I focus on the Cajun Shuffle, a variant of the Nashville Shuffle, and discuss how to select melody and drone notes to suit each chord.

So, what, you just play the shuffle with those notes and wing it with the ornamentation?
@TheFiddleChannel
@TheFiddleChannel 11 ай бұрын
For authentic Cajun fiddle you need to pay a lot of attention to correct ornamentation. But for commercial/country/Cajun like this then yes, just wing it!. Everyone else does!
