"The Cake" - Squeak Squad Animation

[It's Kirby's 32nd Anniversary today, at least in Japan. So as a little treat I've uploaded this video a little earlier than intended] Although I intended for the animation to have no dialogue at all, just visual communication, I see that it can be a little confusing to know what's going on. I've added in some captions so that you can understand some bits better, even read the minds of the characters???

I love how you made all the graphics more polished and made this a full animation! It's also nice that your Adeline animation and this one both had a lesson. Your animations are getting really good! :D

Love the art direction here. The pixelated graphics make this look like an early DS game. The characters themselves are well-animated and their speech bubbles are very charming! I also appreciate the Squeak Squad music. The part where it goes dark is very tense, but I don't know what Kirby broke exactly. I also don't understand the 'Food 101' bit though. Care to explain?

Thanks for the response. (Spoilers for end of video) Yeah, I can see that some things are harder to convey. I've added in some captions to make the "Food 101" segment more understandable (and other bits of image-only dialogue). Although I've already written them on the captions, I'll write down the "lessons" here too: [Lesson 1] "Food comes from anywhere" [Lesson 2] "Food is infinite" (At least in Dreamland) [Lesson 3] "In conclusion, don't cry over spilled cake" As for what it was that Kirby's broken... Well, ever noticed that budding flower? During gameplay, they can provide a little more than just coins sometimes.

Oh yeah it’s because, in DL1 it’s said that the stars Dedede stole were what fed Dream Land, that makes sense And in sqsq i headcanon that Kirby was just scared that Dedede pulled a DL1 one again
