Reminds me of a time in my life before my parents passed away, my brother, dad and me used to drive the backroads around San Diego all the way up to Menifee, I learned how to drive on thos roads. There were tons of mom and pop stores along those roads, we could have great sandwiches, soup, and home made pie. My favorite thing to do was buy a can of Copenhagen when my dad wasnt watching, he would buy us our coke and peanuts, we would it in the bed while he pumped the gas. My dad is long gone, the roads are wider, safer and packed with wanna be motorcycle riders, no small gas stations, all taken over by corporate companies. The charm and nostalgia is gone, there will never be another little store you pull up to, get gas, have some pie and good conversation with a guy thats just trying to live an honest living.
