The Calumet Feeder Canal - The Calumet Wilderness

Some men are gearheads. Some are railroad nerds. I’m a canal freak.
Most of the Region’s canals post-date the initial building wave of “artificial rivers” in the middle 19th century. But down in Blue Island is a reminder of that era and a connection to the Illinois & Michigan Canal.
