📖 Virgile Berto, known as the Camarguais, is the mayor of the small imaginary town of Saint-Gineste, in the heart of the Camargue region between Marseille and Arles. Despite his local origins, he has not always lived there and has lived his professional life as a police commissioner in many French cities. Nostalgic, he ended up returning to the region and reopened, with the help of his wife Anna, his parents' manade, which had been abandoned, and took the place of mayor in his family village...
