Enjoyed watching this. Very touching tribute to your little brother. I particularly like the change in you that we see at the end... it was a hard walk, physically and emotionally, but you looked like a massive weight had been lifted off your shoulders. Well done!

What a wonderful, moving story. I'm the eldest of 4 boys (ages 66 thru 59) and I pray to God that when our time comes, I go first. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a brother, especially one at such an early age. As you said, we somehow think our brothers will always be with us. I hope to walk the Camino de Santiago in Sept / Oct 2021 and I will certainly say a prayer and light a candle for you, your brother and your family. Thanks again for a wonderful video.

Beautiful. I can totally relate. My sister and i walked the Camino last September/October in honor of our Mom on her 5th death anniversary. We lost her to Lung Cancer very quickly (She passed on 12 weeks after diagnosis). Carried some of her ashes along The Way and arrived at the Cathedral in Santiago on what would have been her 85th Birthday. We then proceeded to Fisterra and at the base of the tower past the Lighthouse, facing the ocean, we set her ashes, some of her hair, a photo of her with a poem “Safely Home,” and her favorite golf glove. Buen Camino Jeremy, Ultreia! ❤️

Sophisticated photography and editing. In my Christian tradition we believe when good people die they are with God. Since God is everywhere your brother was on the Camino with you. When your brother pops into your thought , he's thinking of you. Peace.

Dear Jeremy. Thank you so much for putting this all together. It was very touching and inspiring. I have no doubt your brother was with you all the way. I will be walking my first Camino in the spring of 2024. I will be turning 70 on that walk and will be taking the journey with my older brother. He will be 72 by then. We are both training and doing as much research as we can. I am sure I will watch this video a few more times before I go. Much peace & many blessings, David

Friend from Spain, a big hug and a lot of strength in your life because you deserve it! I am Spanish and I see many people who come like you for personal reasons to make the journey and it is the best they can do, spend a few weeks making a journey for someone close and poir yourself, to reconnect with your soul and find yourself . The camino is peace and quiet.

It has been 4 years since you posted this lovely tribute to your bother, I just watched it, in the middle of the night as I couldn't sleep, and wondered where you are and why you haven't done more films, you have a special way of telling a a beautiful story. It has brought tears to my eyes as I am planning a camino trip this year for the same reason you did yours, with the hopes of mending, somewhat, my broken heart, and finding solace in the sadness of a great loss. Thank you for sharing this heart felt story and wish you more "caminos" in your life❤️

Thank you for sharing you inner journey along the Camino with us. I've done 3 stages of The Way so far and while I realised that I could not know what had happened in the lives of the the other peregrinos I passed that lead them to undertake the Camino, it always helps to hear personal stories. It is a very valuable reminder to walk, speak and act very gently to everyone you meet on the Camino (as much as we can being human in any case). You cannot walk a perfect Camino and you cannot achieve a precise release of personal turmoil, but it is walking and behaving as well as you can under the circumstances as they change that is important. You honoured the memory and life of your brother in the best way that you could.

Watching you looking forward to that next cup of coffee now. 💜 ☕️ I’ve been watching a lot of docs on the different camino’s that lead to Santiago, but there’s something so endearing and authentic about you and your essence throughout the story about your love for Jimmy. I so relate to how you talk about him so beaming and then you can literally feel your heart break and the lump in your voice emerges. This happens every time I talk about my Mama, who I lost last year. I’ll be walking the Camino next late spring with her spirit and in her honor. Would love to connect more about your journey,, and I’ve subscribed!

God, here I sit with a stone in my hand. It symbolizes the hardships of my life. I now come before you with what I carry within me. You know me and my boundaries, what I'm ashamed of, what I do not want to see and what I am reminded of. You know my body's memories, my soul's wounds, my fears, my disappointments, my longings and my dreams. You also feel my guilt and my shame. You know why I carry it. You, who are My Higher Power and my hope, I ask you for love to drive my fear away. I ask you for strength to forgive others. I ask you for strength to dare to be me.
