Hi. What was the reason for weaning chicks on paper before using sawdust Tia

The birds were fantastic, especially the one at 19:17, truly a stunner. Really enjoyed the close-ups and indepth analysis of each bird. You also showed the necessary approach to judging one's birds. I did also like that you included mention of a hen that unexpectedly produced very nice birds. Genetics is a funny thing; what you see isn't always what you get. A bird can carry great genes without always expressing them for many various reasons but still be worthy as a breeder

Just wanted to ask you a question ? Hopefully you can give me honest answer , when it comes to color dye / which one would you use for a brown color for the greenies ? Red !? Or Orange 🍊- just asking because im doing a little research of my own , and wondering if a good selection of color dye give me what I want a visual cinnamon color greenfinch without having to mule , that way I can keep my birds pure . Hopefully everything I said makes sense .

@@gabrielrymer4287 do you have cinnamon greenfinches? Or are you looking to colour feed a normal? I’m not sure I’d advise either. I know that many of the English cinnamon breeders will use carophyl red to enhance the depth of colour in the bird, but they are expected to be coloured for the showbench. I’m not sure colour feeding a bird without a base ground colour would result in anything other than patches if indeed the bird would take any colour at all
