Brilliant content, good to see two experts get together and share some knowledge, fantastic setup👍. Would it be too late in the season to try get hold of and breed my first pair of canary’s or would you recommend waiting until next season? These videos have given me the breeding Bug again👍

Hi Julian ive just purchased 4 pair of red mosaics. (Seller mentions from the julian line) is it ok to feed them greens.. i was told only to feed peas, only, plain canary seed from 2 months up to the breeding season.. after the breeding a canary mix seed...love the video.. Love your video..

You have a lovely room and cages for all your birds. I have two pairs of canaries. I would like to know what is the powder you dipped the nest cover in ? And did you say that after one egg you put the nest out and wait for two days and put the nest back , and keep doing that till there is 4 eggs, as I see my canary’s layed one egg and then sit on it . But now the one female has stoped sitting on her egg, after 14 days , I guess the egg is not fertile . The other one she has two eggs, but one egg is white, weird. Wonder if that is fertile . Pls advise me . And I see you put egg food for all of them. And you said something about there food mix, what do you mix the canary seeds with , pls advise me . Thank you. The most important to have a grill is when you have chicks. So in breeding season,, so you can stop them from eating old soft food from the floor, 👌 😊

I was intrigued by your video and I am sorry if I have so many questions :) The birds that you bought from Sweden, were they shipped to you or did you carry them yourself? Did you have difficulties shipping birds from another countries? Turkey has many good Waterslager breeder, so I am wondering if I can ship from Turkey to USA. Any feedback?

I love canaries, but I only have the capacity to retain 2 pairs for breeding and I am not sure how to deal with the projected 12 chicks of 2021 breeding season ( Aiming for 2 clutches per pair with an average of 3 chick/clutch to keep birds healthy). Any suggestions? BTW, I envy the situation that your wife supports you :) so you managed to populate your living room with lovely canaries.

Hello my friend, I'm very sorry to hear that,, there is alot of preventive supliments and medicine for black spot. I don't think you can save the young.but you can treat the birds.. Sometimes the birds carry black spot in there sistem and leave with it.. And when the imun sistem gets very weak, the black spot comes out.. Try to feed your birds good diet. Fresh food and water every morning and keep your cages clean..

I am curious to know how your canaries got infested with tics? I thought that as you as long your breed them in a controlled environment (house), you should be free of ticks. Could it be that you got these tics from birds that you bought from other breeders?

Mites leave on the birds, I brought them from the pet shop. I didn't know about that at the time.. That they carry mites and they need treatment.. Now I'm treating all my birds every month with s76. Keep them mites free, and happy 😊 😊 👌 👌

There's alot of preparation to be done prior to breeding canaries. If you didn't doit. I doubt they will be in condition to feed.. but try some mashed boiled eggs . With eggfood in it.little bit of Niger seeds.. also take the male out. Let the hen go eat by herself.Good luck
