did u print with SPL app its own image optimization or without it? i have sony xperia 1 V and i didnt notice any darkness issues with SPL app image optimize. i havent tried it without optimize tho and on other youtube video someone recommended to turn it off

These shots just came straight from my phone to the SPL app. I imagine my own edits have affected some of these images not so much the printer being the issue. Nice learning moment for myself.

Print would never show as many contrast as screen

Very true. A high quality screen can be designed to always show "more" than the print but I cannot think that there is something special about having a physical print over looking at my screen sometimes.

hey so I have this printer and I notcied all my prints are a bit darker and contrasty compared to the original photos. Any tips?

I found that with a few of my own images too and had to go back into my editing software and just bring io the exposure a little. Ideally turn your screen brightness down by a dew clicks to simulate a darker photo and then do the edit. It is a bit odd. Some images shot on the same day are fine so really could just be a quality issue for such a cheap printer.

@ have you tried playing with the settings within the printer? Like maybe increasing brightness to +1 in picture settings?

Unfortunately this is a common issue, as all screen colours are different, and screens have backlight as well where paper doesn't have .

Are there different types of paper for the printer?

No just the specific so if you need or want to explore other types then this is not the printer for you!

u can print it glossy, semi-gloss or satin, so the paper feels little different
