true.. but it took decades and i bet those parents were around 30 yo (25~35?) when the esports professional league started in korea. even me, a 40 yo korean, i love e sports and i, personally, really think and treat the e sports leagues just as other professional sports league such as mlb, nfl, primere league, la liga and so on. the only difference i see is their professional life span is dead short and retire ave. 10 years earlier than other sports. the streaming services such as youtube and twitch can be their post retirement career which hopefully make up the 10 year shortage compared to other sports. hopefully more people would start to think as me globally.

South Koreans study about 15-20 hours per day and so they work that hard they deserve to play and I think that the work ethic translates to gaming which is why they have such a high skill level of that compared to other countries

they are one of the top league of legends players, and yess you can play with them if you want but then you would have to switch server to their reagion and you will get high ping.
