The Captain was written in 1996 by Karolyn Wright Gaines. A recovering alcoholic, this song tells her own story or redemption, using the allegory of the sea. Recorded in June of 2023 in Saratoga Springs Utah at Lakeview Recording( Steven Lerud ) The music was produced by Greg Hansen
